Olivia Bistro-Boutique — Restaurant in Gatineau

I live like 5 mins away from this bistro & I always wanted to try it but always passed by it unfortunately not seeing it & then being too lazy to turn around & go back, so I ended up further down at a fast food place!! And omg now I can only cry thinking about all those times I could’ve eaten their Quality, absolutely scrumptious, healthy food!!! And instead I wasted my money on some fast food!

I asked the cashier to suggest me something & I was kind of happy when she suggested a salad thinking I’m still looking probably fit for her to think I’m a salad person! & not like the person that I’ve become after Covid!! Like 10 lbs heavier!!! : ) Anyways this gave me the confidence to ask for their Chilli! I must say it’s not even close to a simple Chili, it’s sophisticated & very incredibly tasty!! I wanted something that would keep me satisfied & full for the rest of the day & it really did!!! And I enjoyed every single spoon of it!! Seriously I don’t think I’ll ever waste my money on those nasty fast foods when I can have this kind of meal!! That’s for sure!! This time even if I miss it & pass by it, I’ll definitely do...

I absolutely love this place! Every time I visit, I’m impressed by how fresh, vibrant, and flavorful everything tastes. The salads in particular are outstanding — they’re made with crisp, high-quality ingredients and often feature unique combinations that make them stand out from typical salad options. You can really tell that a lot of thought and care goes into crafting each dish.

What I love most is how every bite feels light yet satisfying — the perfect balance of freshness and flavor. It’s not just a quick meal; it’s something you genuinely look forward to. The presentation is always beautiful too, which makes the experience even more enjoyable.

We were here today as we viewed the fall leaves in the Gatineau region. It was somewhat hard to find, because it was off to the side of a brand new building. A future fromagerie was in the front and not open. We had a delightful fresh lunch lunch that was exquisitely prepared and reasonably priced. If you are going for the fall colors this is definitely a place that you want to stop at. It's not as crowded as the pub further down the street.
