We recently visited Aladdin in Gatineau, near Ottawa, and were very pleased. This place left an excellent impression on us from the very beginning.
First of all, the food was amazing. We spent $30, and every cent was worth it. Everything was fresh, delicious, and of high quality. The variety of dishes was also impressive.
Secondly, the service. The staff were very friendly and attentive, which created an incredibly comfortable atmosphere. This is especially important when you’re looking for a place to relax.
The cleanliness of the establishment also deserves special praise. The tables were promptly cleaned, and the entire space looked tidy. These small details make the experience even more enjoyable.
At the time of our visit, there weren’t many customers, so it was easy to find a comfortable spot to sit. There’s also free parking near the café, which was a big plus. We left our car without any issues and headed in to enjoy our time.
I must specifically mention the drinks. My wife and I tried several types of tea. I especially loved the fruity tea—it was aromatic and very tasty. While I usually prefer green tea, this time I decided to experiment, and I wasn’t disappointed. Unfortunately, my wife didn’t enjoy the black Earl Grey tea—it was too bitter for her taste. However, the wide selection of teas ensures that everyone can find something they like.
Finally, I want to highlight the atmosphere at Aladdin. It’s truly cozy, and the space is filled with the wonderful aroma of freshly brewed coffee. I absolutely love the smell of coffee, and it added to the overall positive impression.
My wife and I had a great time, and I recommend this place to anyone who appreciates delicious food, great service, and a comfortable environment. If you’re in Gatineau, make sure to...
Read moreThis place was recommended by a friend as he knows I love local coffeeshops and just moved on the Plateau. The best cortado I’ve had in a long time! Delicious panini on my first visit, flaky cheese croissant on my second. Also bought a nice bottle of olive oil and a carrot cheesecake slice for takeout, hence my purchase between $20-$30 stated below. Service was okay, nothing to rave about sadly. I must say that both times, this one girl is standing at the counter but not taking orders or acknowledging clients, needed to get help for punching in items, and to prepare a slice of cake. First time I thought perhaps she was in training, but it happened again this morning, two weeks later, sorry to say. I will definitely return, nonetheless. Great coffee, food...
Read moreI just discovered this wonderful place and it will surely become one of my favourites. The atmosphere is very cozy and well designed. The staff is very helpful and polite. They gave me specific recommendations as per my taste preference and I bought some coffee beans to try.
The food was yummy and portions were good.
I have one advice for the owner of the place. When we order a latte or any espresso drink, you use only one kind of blend. If you had at least one more choice which has no acidity, you would deserve 6 stars. Either this, or an option for us to have a latte from the beans we buy would be a cool concept. While it will be a little extra work, I would happily pay the extra premium for...
