Trying Persian food for the first time at Ashti Kitchen was awesome. The place felt warm and welcoming from the moment we walked in, with incredible smells coming from the kitchen. The owner was super friendly, greeting us with a big smile and helping us pick dishes since we were new to Persian food. They made us feel right at home. The food was just delicious. We had the Vaziri—one skewer of juicy koobideh kebab and one skewer of tender chicken breast, served with fluffy rice, grilled tomatoes, peppers, and onions. It was so good, with bold flavors in every bite, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone. The portions were huge, perfect for sharing, and such a great value. The owner’s suggestions led us to try things I wouldn’t have picked myself, which made the meal so fun and different. To top it off, the owner gave us a bottle of their house-made hot sauce as we were leaving. That little gift was such a nice touch and made the experience even more special. Ashti Kitchen is easily one of the best restaurants in town. If you’re looking for tasty food and a warm, friendly vibe, you’ve got to try it. I’m already...

Read moreYes. Just yes. Got the barberry chicken leg and it was the taste of my childhood and oh so tender. The lamb shank was equally tender and they didn't have the dill rice so I got more barberry rice which happens to be my favorite anyway. The koobideh was great and the addition of raw onions dusted with sumac is a nice touch. Their maast-o-musir (shallot yogurt) has dried Persian mint in it, which I've never had this way before but it reminded me of doogh, the mint yogurt drink and it was a nice change. We loved everything about the food and will definitely order again.
The staff are nice and accommodating (we ordered ahead and then added a bunch of things to the order when we walked in). We got takeout but the inside is clean and I'd have no issues eating there. It's a diner-style setup, and they have salt and sumac shakers...
