Excellent experience.
For the main I got green curry with jasmine rice. I savoured each bite. As one who doesn’t eat too spicy, the two peppers on the menu barely translated into spiciness, which was fine with me. The sauce was pleasantly sweet and tasty. I could drink the curry sauce by itself. The eggplant was done in a way I’ve never eaten before. It tasted like a denser root, almost the texture of taro. The taste of curry + rice + chicken + veggies = amazing. I wish this restaurant were in the Lower Mainland.
For dessert I got the tapioca with coconut milk. It was slightly translucent, green sago topped with coconut milk. It was just right in sweetness. Very pleasant. At the end, I did not feel sugared out. It was hot. You could almost consider it a hot tapioca pudding. Don’t eat too fast! Do not be deceived by the price ($5) or its smaller size - It was pretty filling. I mean, it’s a bowl of tapioca. If they opened a dessert shop in the Lower Mainland with this as the main item, I could see it becoming pretty popular.
Service (by a middle aged waitress) was just right, amiable, and pleasant. I got a spot with a view of the mountains. They should capitalize on their views more.
I see why so many locals came for takeout during...

Read moreThis was an unexpected gem. We headed here straight off the ferry and were not expecting such excellent Thai food on the Sunshine Coast.
I had the pad sea iew, which is one of my favorite Thai dishes, it was ridiculously good. We also got their ginger beef and the cashew nut chicken, they were both delicious. Everyone was super impressed with the food. We also got their Thai coffee and Thai tea - both blew us away but the Thai tea was unbelievable. Such amazing flavors and so refreshing. Both the tea and coffee were iced with condensed milk, so good.
The service was a tad slow, but was in a random time of the day and only one server working. She was lovely and even brought the tea used in the Thai tea so we could see what brand it was. The food came out blazingly fast so all was forgiven.
Highly recommend checking this out if you're...
