Tapworks Brewing Company — Restaurant in Gibsons

We got take out from Tapworks tonight and was disappointed in the service we received. I ordered online and noted on the online form that we have a cilantro allergy for the tacos to cilantro. I called in after I placed the order to make sure it doesn't get missed as my wife is severely allergic and we want to make sure cilantro does not go on the tacos. We confirmed on the phone that it was no problem and that the note on the online order is there. After I picked it up and took it home to eat with the family we notice that cilantro is all over the tacos. Due to it being a sever allergy we can't even pick off each single cilantro leaf off as it's already contaminate, so my wife was not able to eat her meal at all. The food I got was good but the experience was ruined due to the disregard in handling of my wife's meal. We did not contact the restaurant to get a new meal made due to the fact that we've already driven home now and we're not going all the way back for a mistake that could have been easily avoided since we have in two separate ways notify the restaurant of...

This is a modern brewery with a covered, heated patio. They have events several days a week including DJs playing occasionally. The drinks menu has something for everyone, I particularly enjoyed the apple cider. Food menu has some standard "bar food" options including loads of appys, burgers and tacos. I had the garlic parm fries with caramelized onions, crispy brussel sprouts and mushroom bao buns... All of which were tasty, well made dishes. It was nice to see a fair number of vegetarian options available on the menu. The service was fast, friendly and easy. The atmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a trendy taphouse, although I'd say it's the people who make the atmosphere...
