A&W Canada — Restaurant in Goffs

Wanted to grab a bite to eat before i flew home today and thought for a second I’ve never tried A and W might as well see what it’s like. Its a fast food restaurant so expectations are obviously lower and I’m quite ofter picking up a McDonalds or burger king on the way back from work if I’m short on time so id say i have a basic understanding of what to expect. Price point is steep but i expect to pay more for premium grass fed animals and with the costs rising everywhere it’s to be expected. But the kitchen was dirty the staff were rude no service with a smile here. For a polite hello i was met with a low grunt and the words “what do you want” followed by being ignored and having to repeat myself multiple times. Food was delivered quickly nonetheless and tasted great. The seating aria was shared among a few food chains and doesn't seam to be cleaned very quickly altho this may be monitored by the airport itself and if customers cleaned up after themselves it wouldn't be an issue. I’ve never been more embarrassed!

Ordered a burger and a drink at this location, on June 14th @ 12 for lunch. i grabbed the wrong bank card and it declined. I said to the man i the counter, “1 second, need a different card.” I step 2-3 meters to my right, to where my friend was and got my correct card. When I got back to the cash seconds later and was already with a new customer. I then stood to the side for 10 minutes being ignored and once I finally spoke up and said “hey can I pay? i got the right card.” I was then told to go to the back of the line cause my card declined and to “try again”. This was said loudly infront of other customers. Man said it’s because he can’t make other people wait for me, but when it takes only a few seconds, what’s the problem? And why let me stand there and not acknowledge me?

Was just there july 23 2019. The super thats handing the food to the costumers is just throwing everything into the bags and putting them on the counter and walking away. The owner needs to doing something about her. No one is wearing gloves handling my food so gross but every other food place in the halifax airport are wearing gloves makes no sense. Either run the place right or close down. I work at the airpory myself and if i dont see an improvement with how things are done there ill be calling the food health and have them come...
