La Cocina Mexicana — Restaurant in Goffs

Well, what can I say about this spot, it's amazing. It was the service from the bartender and more so ...actually one person the Manager Marie B. She made my experience amazing. You can't find service like that any longer, kudos to whomever hired this woman and made her Manager, she needs to be promoted. I had a terrible flight coming from Newfoundland due to the winds, turbulence was insane, she calmed me, showed me where to go for my connecting flight to the States. Made sure I made it through international and got my seat. Well, then my flight was cancelled. Stayed at the Hilton, when I came back to the airport, I couldn't believe it, Marie came in and checked on me to make sure I was all set and checked my flight. Overall I really enjoyed my time here.

I ordered the lobster sliders (cause when in the Maritimes), and they were delicious. A bit on the expensive side, as you can expect at an airport, but the lobster amount was good.

I also ordered Churos and they were decent, though I like my chocolate dip a bit less sweet. Unfortunately they didn't have a Mexican coke.

Located at the departure terminal of Halifax airport, La Cocina is a Mexican restaurant offering great Mexican food. The tacos salad is very tasty and is pretty big, which can easily be enough for two people. The only comment is regarding the staff. As you enter, you need to wait to be seated but at times, this waiting can go a long way until somebody notices you. Also, forcing an %18 minimum tip goes against the normal of %15 throughout...
