Golden Sushi — Restaurant in Golden

Went here with my wife because her sister recommended it over the other sushi place. It didn't disappoint; everything was delicious. We started out with the prawn tempura, which was fried nice and light. My wife had the tamago, avocado, and spicy salmon rolls--really good rice-to-filling ratio. I had the spicy chirashi, which although listed under the Korean section of the menu, is really a Japanese dish. There was enough of everything in that dish--great sashimi, lettuce, cucumbers, and just enough spicy sauce to not make it completely overpower the rest of the ingredients. The only thing I feel could have improved was the amount of times we were checked up on and water was brought around. Overall, though, quite excellent! I experienced deep disappointment with my recent dining experience at Golden Sushi. I ordered the Chicken Teriyaki Roll, and was served raw chicken inside of it. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, instead of addressing the issue, they argued with me that it wasn’t raw, insisting that the chicken was properly cooked.

This incident not only ruined my meal but also left me concerned about the restaurant's food safety standards, customer service, and worried for my own health as I ate a a piece before I noticed. I advise others to think twice before dining at Golden Sushi unless they are willing to risk being served raw chicken and facing a dismissive attitude...

My wife and I tried Golden Sushi for the first time earlier today and wow, we were blown away.

We live in San Francisco where good sushi is all around, and we were skeptical to try a place way out in the Canadian Rockies.

We ordered a handful of items to try and all of them were wonderful. Good flavor, good presentation, and the food tasted really fresh.

The lady who owns the place even chases us down a couple blocks away to hand deliver us the final part of our order that was missing when we left the store! Amazing service.
