Calabria Deli & Bistro — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

I love the atmosphere of the Domenicos Deli. Although I only go in there to get sandwiches and have yet to buy their meat/cheeses/etc, the employees are very kind and attentive. Sometimes I wake up and my first thought in the morning is that I need to get the "Italian Job" sandwich for lunch that day; it is THAT good! I believe last time I was in, one of the owners served me and she was so sweet, informative and talkative. Not to mention she spoke highly of her staff and said she enjoyed slow days so that her staff has a chance to experiment (the result was bacon chocolate chip cookies, which I wish I had tried). Overall, I love this place and will continue going there frequently because of how much I love to treat myself to their amazing sandwiches!! Go in and try one all while...

I woke up and really wanted a good sandwhich. Googled to see if there was a good deli in Grande Prairie and saw this place.

So the mission was set and to the roads i set off.

Upon arriving the staff greets you immediately with a smile. Helpful in any questions. I got 2 sandwhiches with some customization with no problems. The speed at which they made the 2 sandwhiches was impressive as well! Good organization.

Now the Taste Test: First bites reaction W-O-W!! The feta veggie spread along with all the shaved deli meats was to die for. I will be going back many many more times when i need a sandwhich fix.

Really great cannoli! We tried them at GP nights. We went to the shop the other day, but they were closed well before the posted closing time… that was pretty disappointing, because we were looking forward to seeing what else they had to offer!

Edit: reply to the owner… there was a sign posted saying that the shop would be closed early the day we went, but when we went in,(which was well before the posted time of early closure)the door was unlocked, we went in and the young man told us they were closed. We double checked the sign and our watches, and it was 45 minutes before they were due to close, even with the...
