Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

I called at 630 on a Sunday. Got the standard pizza place answering service listing their specials. One of them was a medium pizza, 10 wings and a 2 litre, exactly what I wanted. After the messages ended I had a person on the line to order from so I told them that was the deal I wanted, that's when my experience with this branch went south. The guy had no idea what deal I was talking about and asked me to look up a promo code for him... I explained I was driving and it was one of only 3 deals they offered on the phone, he should know what deals are offered when people call in. He then Just said hold on, put me on hold I'm guessing so he could go ask someone. He came back on seconds before I hung up and called Pizza 73 and now knew what I was talking about so I still ordered. I was told be ready in 15. So I get there near 20 minutes later and that's when I see the quality of this branch (not from GP but go to Dominoes in other cities, never with this level of dysfunction) First as I pull in there is a little girl around 5-7 walking out of the store and through the parking lot. I go in to find out my pizza had just gone in. Little girl comes back in and starts running around behind the counter and in the kitchen area, there is a lady not in a Dominos uniform working one of the phones, the kid is with her, I'm guessing she's a manager or owner helping out. I finally get my food 33 minutes after I made the call. So 18 minutes late on a pick up order. The food was good and staff friendly so I still gave a tip, the problems I had I would place squarely on bad management, a restaurant kitchen isn't a playground, staff are not babysitters, I've worked similar jobs and could tell it was stressing tripping over a child (who I saw pick something up off the floor and place in the food boxing area, and was a constant distraction to workers) hence why I still tipped. I don't know if I'd go back as I'm not local, but I do work...

To be clear this review is not related to this specific Dominos, staff at this place have always been helpful and food has arrived quickly and has always been good this review is for Dominos as a whole.

The 1 star is because of how noticeably smaller large pizzas are at first we thought we got a medium by mistake but this is the 3rd time now. Dominos has always been a great pizza chain but in consideration to the price we the consumers pay and how much smaller pizzas are it's just not justifiable anymore especially when the competition like Papa johns & Pizza hut has not had to reduce the overall size of their pizza and in some cases is cheaper than dominos there really is just not a good reason why my family atleast should...

They have a really great staff and amazing customer service. Also the pizza points help save money. They accidentally gave me a pizza that was missing one of the toppings, I didn't even notice until the delivery person had already driven away but when I called in with the issue they brought another pizza with the correct toppings very quickly. Every place could make a mistake but they dealt with it fantastically well. (Also they don't make mistakes very often, I've ordered quite a few times and only the one issue. And another time I did a delayed order, not even noticing that I had put 11pm instead of 11am. They called me when they saw it come in to confirm that I wanted it at night and not for lunch. Very friendly....
