Visited them on Victoria Day and they were âmehâ.
I ordered the main trifecta of crispy egg roll, salad rolls, and pho.
The crispy egg rolls were tiny and you can tell they werenât made in the restaurant. Mass produced from a super market and poorly fried as the interior seemed uncooked.
The salad rolls werenât good as the vermicelli inside was all broken up, as you dipped the roll, it would fall apart. This is a sign that the rolls were made previously and placed in the fridge. Tasted stale.
The pho was laden with problems. Super salty and the meat was like it was out through a blender. Beef was overcooked and gummy. Noodles were undercooked. No basil? Bowl was super small for $18.
I asked for tea and was given a cup with a tea bag and hot water in it. Never had that happen in an Asian restaurant before, quite a new experience.
I wonât be back to this place and wouldnât recommend it to anyone. If youâve never tried Vietnamese food before, donât make this your first. If youâve had it before youâll know exactly what Iâm talking about.
Whoever is giving them 4 or 5 Stars needs their head and taste buds examined.
Very pricy for substandard and poorly prepared food.
I havenât posted a poor review in a very long time, very...
Read moreIt was a quiet afternoon at the restaurant, food was delicious and an impeccable service. Suddenly, allow me to share what I have witnessed at the restaurant( please note this is a personal opinion) there was a table whom had a great time ( seing all the food they have ordered and the toddler dancing to Christmas song while eating)... unexpectedly I overheard the customer requesting a discount or put the bill on the house for the poor food taste ( stating word by word " the pho didn't taste as authentic" as the place he/ she is currently employed at but still placed more food to go and packed all the leftover...) then blamed on the waitress for the poor service ( which I strongly disagree as she fulfilled every little request that the customer demand for). T As a normal person, out of respect I just feel that if food didn't taste good then you should tell the waitress right away and not tell them after eating everything and placing further food to go. Leaving a big mess behind, constantly dropping plates and singing out loud while other customer are eating... After this whole incident, I have to give credit to the restaurant for staying grounded and dealt the situation...
Read moreMyself, my husband, and his little sister decided to go in for some quick soup we got there at 8:20 they close at 9. Yes I can see how that may be frustrating but we went in already knowing what we wanted. Right when we walked in the server was like âwe close at 9.â Very snarky. Okay? We stated we were ready to order and it still took her 10 minutes to come over to get our order including our drinks. We didn't get our drinks for another 5 minutes all the pop comes in cans? Why does it take 5 minutes. We got our food and were done eating by 8:45 and ready to pay. I went to pay with cash and she flicked her hands at me and said âcanât you pay with card?â I told her I didnât need change if that would help any and she shook her head and said âyeah but.. whatever.â Iâm a server myself and have worked in the industry for 10 years almost. Never would I give that frustration or attitude towards my guests. My husband and I have been here a lot and we have never experienced such disgusting attitude or comments. We very much enjoyed our food like we did previous times it was the only place we would go for pho. Definitely wonât be back if thereâs the chance we get her again. Very very...
