The Chow Mein & Chicken Chop Suey was the BEST I’ve ever had. The vegetables were still nice & crisp, and no shortage of bean sprouts. Both dishes were SO yummy—but I was pretty let down with the Shanghai Noodles. They were over cooked & broken up; not the long, thick and firm noodles you expect. I’ll add that they had lots of meat & shrimp, but the nice protein can’t make up for those disappointing noodles. The texture of the tender Sweet & Sour Boneless Pork was fantastic—but there was not nearly enough sauce! That meat should be covered in it! I will say that their sauce was absolutely delicious (it didn’t taste like the canned red sauce most Chinese places use), so it’s too bad they don’t give you enough. I ordered my delivery directly off their website. Their site was easy to use but doesn’t offer side options (like extra sauce) and there’s no place to add a comment to your order. Would I buy from this place again? Possibly, as 3 of the 4 dishes tasted good, but it’s hard to get passed not getting enough sauce, and that I feel I wasted $18.95 for a batch of sad Shanghai noodles.

I had lunch with a friend today at the Prairie Asian Bistro downtown in the old Acropolis restaurant. I have to say it was lovely! The food was delicious and the new owner and his son were so friendly to visit with- we were a bit later so it was quite quiet which lead to great chats with both of them. Do check it out and support their new business!! He’s really striving to have good food!

Order take out and I was blower away with how fresh and crisp everything was! Only issue was they missed my soup, which I called and they gave me a discount and a large soup instead of small. I stopped in to pick it up and chatted with the owner, the guy has passion for what he does and his quality of food shows. Best Chinese food in town!

Since trying this establishment for the first time, we now order exclusively from them. The food is fresh and delicious! The staff are so friendly and thank us for our continued support. We have ordered many individual dinners for 1, and occasionally order items off the menu. The portions are very generous. Even a dinner for 1 gives me enough for lunch the next day. I am always impressed with the fact that the meats are not full of fat and gristle. You get 10% off, or a choice of a free item when you pick up your order. I can't say enough about the quality and service here! I am a picky eater, and I have not had any complaints with any of our orders! Thank you Prairie...

Omg the food here is so good! Went here last night with my friend and son and we had a great time. The food was delicious! Its so rare to find chinese food in town thats not oily or really salty. Definitely the best ive found so far in town! We each ordered the dinner for one, which comes with egg rolls, chicken fried rice or chow mein and then 2 options for 17.95 We tried the lemon chicken, sweet and sour chicken balls (they put the sauce on the side) , fried shrimp, beef and mixed veggies and the pork (cant remember which one) it was all fantastic and there was more meat than coating on the chicken!

This will definitely now be our go to place! Keep up...
