Sam Sushi — Restaurant in Grande Prairie

Unfortunately I wouldn’t dine here again. Ramen noodles were undercooked and egg was overcooked. Sushi was fine; wasabi though tasted bitter and had very little actual wasabi taste. Worst wasabi I’ve ever had. I found a long blonde hair in my food and the kitchen did remake the dish so kudos to them. However both me and my friend found pieces of fuzz in our food as well. We just took it out ourselves.

At the end of the meal, the owner didn’t ask how we wanted the bill and gave it to us all together, so we asked him to split it. When he had done that he announced everyone’s individual total at the table. Never seen a server do that before, kind of unprofessional. The decor is quite nice though.

Overall I wouldn’t eat here...

Food was decent, but service was really bad. We asked at least 3 times for a drink. We ended up being there over an hour, eating our entire meal and still no drink was ever brought. Order came out incomplete, and never got certain items. No napkins at all, no side plates, no dishes for soy, etc. The said it was because they were busy, but the restaurant was only about half full. I know it's a relatively new place so hopefully they can work...

Me and my fiance did not have the best first experience. First we specifically asked for no wasabi and they were unable to comply with that. Not a huge deal we can manage. Then we found a bone in our Pinnacle roll. We called to make them aware but we were put on hold and could not...
