Herc's Greek Eatery — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

Ordered 2 gyros dinners from doordash as I always do as a long time customer of hercs. I asked for additional sauce to be added to the doniars. Shortly after placing my order and paying for it I was suddenly charged an additional $12.53 to my account. I did not recieve a phone call or asked for consent to this charge. I called hercs and was told they charge an additional $2.99 per sauce. I told the woman I did not approve these charges. Had I been called or had there been an option on the app (like most restaurants do ) for a chargeable item then this wouldn't have been a problem. The girl said I had to call Doordash which I did. Customerservice indicated hercs charged me $5 per sauce not $2.50 like the girl said. Customer support then called hercs and herc refused to refund me. This is the worst customer service I've had by a restaurant especiallyone I frequent often either with take out or dinning in. Congrats hercs. You lost a customer for life! A simple call or rectification would not have resulted in this. Hopefully your manager on duty learns a valuable customer service lesson from this and ownership...

Ordered from Skip The Dish and received a less than satisfactory meal.

For starters, the menu on the app had zero information about ingredients in any of the food items. The restaurant expected customers to write in the special instructions what they would like for a side. As someone who has never eaten from this restaurant, it would have been extremely helpful. I understand not everyone is tech savvy, but, in 2023, this feels like a basic feature and an expectation (I know, first world problems).

A gyro wrap with a side Caesar salad and a regular Greek salad was a $38 meal. For this we received our two salad that were fine…, but the gyro wrap; yikes! The wrap combo was $21 before taxes and all I got was a soggy cold thick wrap with 5 cubed pieces of gyro and a ton of dressing. This meal could have been made with $10 worth of groceries from Food Basics. I would at least expect to get a full sized wrap if my combo is going to be $21.

Safe to say we will not be ordering from Herc’s again. And if we try going to the restaurant in the future, we’ll have to check portion sizes.

A OUD AT ALL COST. WORST SERVICE, COLD FOOD & HIGH DELIVERY DRIVER! We placed a simple order of 3 souvlaki dinners at 4:10PM. I was told 45-60 minutes for delivery. Couldn’t do debit or credit at the door & had to provide credit card over phone. Next they called 15 minutes after my first call t confirm my order of 2 dinners. Nope it was 3. Nothing by 5:20 so we call & of course it left a few minutes ago. 5:40 was my second call & it’s was we don’t know why it’s taking so long. 5:50 the delivery guy finally shows up, baked out of his mind, reeking of marijuana & asking to borrow our pen. Food was cold & the garlic bread was so soggy it was inedible! I would imagine the food was quite good warm but cold. Come on. For $80 I expect way more. On top no apology for the 1 hour 40 min time frame....
