Topper's Pizza — Barrydowne Rd. — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

Hello, I am writing to you explaining a terrible situation i was in with one of your branches. I was super excited to get a free personal 1 topping pizza on my birthday. I have been a rewards member for a while now and I order from you guys often. I was really looking forward to one as I got an email for it at the starting of my day. I ended up going around 9pm to get my pizza. Here is what happened...

I first called the call center to order it. They told me it had to be done online. I didnt have the app so I did it through the online site. Then that wasn't working so I went in store at toppers pizza on Barry down in sudbury ONT. They then told me to download the app which I tried but it says I was not in the correct region. I have lived here my whole life and never had issue with my phone telling me I am not in my correct region. We had tried again on the site and it wasnt registering my birthday, so they had me call the center AGAIN to make sure my account had it then they had me change my password and said everything was all good. So I went back in tried to order again on the site and nothing was working. By this point it had been almost an hour of our time. They told me there was nothing they could do and that they'd be paying 7$ and something sense out of their pocket. So they said i wasn't getting my pizza. I was INSANELY frustrated and let down. If you can't provide what you advertise, stop advertising it. Or if there's any issue not on my part atleast help out your customer and pay the 7$.

For my time and energy i expect more than just a personalized pizza now. I was already having a terrible day and you guys added onto it. I understand it's just pizza but its my comfort food. Show some...

I have downgraded my rating. As suspected, my timed app order was ready 8-10 minutes early. If I had not been there early my pizza would have sat there for that time...getting colder. I do not understand what the point of setting a pick up time is if the location does not adhere to it. The employee gave me a ridiculous explanation as to why it was ready early. I am not sure if I will return.

Franchise food should be similar, right? So far I have been mostly happy at this location. I have been spoiled though because of the Toppers in North Bay! I don't think I was disappointed too often there, and if something was wrong the staff that got to know me fixed it pretty fast.

Anyhow, I have have ordered from the Barrydowne location a handful of times now and it has been good. Not great though.

I always order via their app and I specify the time I wish to pick it up. I have always shown up slightly earlier than that time and it has always been ready. But how long has it been sitting there? I vow to show up 10 minutes earlier next time, just to see!

The downside to this location (even though it never seems to be busy when I visit) is that I sometimes I must wait minutes to be served. Sure I do get acknowledged, but that only goes so far. One time I was asked for a coupon; another time I was offered someone else's food...New staff and training issues I guess. I must say though that each person who attended the counter was friendly and appreciative.

I had went to this location at 10:30 on Monday night after work. This location closes at 11 so I was still early enough. When I walked in to pick up my order online the person working who appeared to be a manger greeted me by saying “Here to no pick up your last minute order” I was surprised by that comment. I then no proceeded to pay for the order. I always leave tip as I work in the industry. She then shifted my pizza at me and sat back down in a chair in the corner using her clipboard. I asked if my dips were in the box. She got up..I opened eh box and said “no” and told her it was a Cesar and medium dip. She walked to kitchen grabbed the one and reached under counter grabbed the second one. She then said to me “ Next time, give the employee some time to read the receipt” ok now how she gonna do that from her chair!?! I was so disgusted by these remarks. I have always loved toppers pizza. I am a frequent buyer. I will never go back to this location and most likely never agin to this business itself. Please do better by hiring employees...
