Zig's — Restaurant in Greater Sudbury

Not as safe a bar as one would think.

I often love going to zigs. It’s known to be a safe place for everyone to dance.

However, last Thursday night I came to pickup my friend, and I found her in the men’s washroom, snorting white powder off of a phone in the stall with two strange men she’s never met before. One of these men even demanded a kiss in exchange for some « lines ». I feel the need to make this public, because most people are under the impression that Zig’s is a safe place for all folk. This was not the case last Thursday night. I am incredibly livid with the lack of attention on security’s part. This girl could’ve easily been taken advantage of in the men’s washroom, and who knows what drugs these two males were giving her. She was incredibly drunk, and I had to pull her out of the bathroom stall myself before security finally noticed that something was happening in the bathroom.

My friend was subjected to a man who took advantage of her state of sobriety in exchange for drugs. I don’t feel safe bringing female friends to this bar anymore, especially with the lack of supervision on security’s part.

Zigs is the one establishment where I always have such an amazing experience. The staff are extremely kind, professional, and accepting to everyone! Every time I attend here I have the best time and always feel so embraced. This particular weekend my friend and I attended Zigs to be met with so much acceptance and kindness.
