Worst dining experience of my life. I had ordered two pizzas and salads on the morning of valentines day for pickup at 7:30pm. The online ordering system said they began prepping my order at 7:05 so I went exactly for 730. When I went to the pickup area they had no idea where my order was and said they were an hour behind on everything INCLUDING SCHEDULED PICK UP TIMES. We had a movie to see in an hour and a half so when they told me it was an hour I requested a refund. I then stood in line to speak with the manager who was working cash. The line didnt move at all for almost 30 minutes and I finally heard them prepping my order. I figured if I was going to wait another 30 minutes just to be refunded I would just take the food. So i sat and waited. After another 30 minutes I asked again about the status and they still had no idea. They said one pizza was ready and the other wasn't even in the oven yet. The manager told me one minute for a time estimate, and began helping other customers, finishing pizzas, and took nearly another 10 minutes to check where the pizzas were. When the pizzas and salad were finally ready after over an hour wait for food which should have been ready at the scheduled pickup time, it was extremely dissapointing. My pizza was completely cold because it had been sitting out, and the salad was half old/brown lettuce. There was no apologies on the part of management and no attempts to rectify the situation. We will never ever be back.
I have also noticed the owner has responded to a review stating that they will not accept uber during busy periods because of the confusion it causes, but while I was waiting last night there were numerous uber drivers inside and uber orders...
Read moreWe recently went to Dough Box (Nov. 11) to get pizza for takeout. We arrived there at about 5:40 pm and it was busy. We were told about 20-25 minutes. So, it's not too bad - we will wait. We had an outing to go to, but not till 7:15. So, about 30 minutes in, I went to the counter and asked if we had been forgotten. We were still standing there waiting to get our pizza made. They then asked if we ordered. I said yes - 2 build your own pizzas. So now they realized they put the slip for our order in the wrong place and apologized and will make our pizza now. Our pizzas are made and going into the oven. Finally, they call my name for our pizza. They have 1 pizza in a box - I said there are supposed to be 2 pizzas. They then discover that they only cooked 1 of our pizzas. So mine pizza is now sitting in a box, and they ask us to wait for the second pizza to cook. Now it is 6:30, I have one cooked pizza which will be cold by the time the second is done and we are running out of time as we have somewhere to be at 7:15. We simply told them how we felt about the service and walked out with no pizza (thank goodness I had not paid yet) and thus no supper. We did not get supper till 10:00pm and went with Dominos. Not impressed at all!!! It was only our 3rd time there, and we do like their pizza - the service just sucked this time, and the staff was very unorganized.
UPDATE..I have gone back to DoughBox again a few times because as I said...like their pizza. It was a much better experience each time & the service was so much better. We were even given some "dough bites" to try, which were very yummy. The staff were great. Our bad experience was just once and hopefully that's...
Read moreNeeded a place to feed the family when dropping our student back to uni. Heard the wood fired pizza at this location was good. It turned out to be way better than good! Thin crispy crust with the 4 cheese and the bites…yumm! (It’s been 2 days since we were there and I am still salivating). The rest of the family ordered a meat pizza, a margarita pizza and more dough bites. You can custom order your thickness if crispy thin isn’t your thing. Not expensive to feed the hoard and none were disappointed. I should have shared mine, but it was too good! Friendly and glisteningly clean and to see the care used in making the pie from the fresh ingredients laid out behind the glass and the care in positioning the pizza in the wood fired oven just heightens the anticipation. Be patient before biting in! (The cheese is coming out at a billion degrees. Give it a minute to settle.) There is room to sit and eat, but it is not table service. Listen for your name and collect the deliciousness at the pickup counter. Many daily specials posted. If I was back at school I would wear my shoes out going to this place on a daily basis. Looking forward to my next uni pickup...
