Fresh Burrito — Restaurant in Guelph

I never usually write negative reviews of businesses, I just simply don't go back, but this is something I feel needs mentioning. I placed an order for two tacos and one quesadilla, with the option to add a third taco to one of the taco orders (orders usually come with two tacos but we wanted one of the orders to have three).

I picked up the food exactly when I scheduled the order to be ready, drove it home (60 seconds or so), wife and I opened up food containers, the one order was missing the extra taco, but mistakes happen so we let that go. We took one bite, the food was ice cold, like someone had taken the ingredients out of the fridge and put the tacos together without it ever getting heated up. It was very unappetizing but we were hungry so we took a second bite only for me to pull a two inch piece of clear plastic out of my mouth. At that point my wife and I put the food down and I put it into the trash. I called the store and asked for a refund (again something I never do), we were told that the manager would call us back, we never heard from anyone.

We won't be going back.

Extremely Disappointed with Service at This Branch

The service at this location is unacceptable. The staff are unprofessional and poorly trained. It took 35 minutes to prepare a single burrito, and the server forgot to include the fries, which added another 5 minutes to the wait. Shockingly, even placing the food into the bag took an additional 5 minutes.

When I asked about the delay, the employee responded rudely, stating, "It's the policy of our store to keep customers waiting." This level of disrespect is appalling. While I waited, I saw multiple customers cancel their orders out of frustration.

I strongly recommend the Guelph Downtown branch instead — the staff there are friendly, efficient, and know how to treat their customers. This branch, on the other hand, seriously needs to improve or reconsider its approach to customer service.

Nothing about this place was fresh or Mexican. I was greeted by two neck beards and a bossy lady. Ordered a steak and shrimp burrito but the two staff members didn’t know how to cook the shrimp. The rest of my burrito stayed face open as the shrimp cooked and the steak cooled. This burrito smelled like socks and tasted like a frozen burrito from 2002. Ate less than a quarter of it and feel ill. Don’t waste your time or money on this shipwreck. Absolutely nothing Mexican or fresh about my frozen shrimp burrito.
