Last Sunday, on our way back home, we ordered take out something around half two, closer to three o'clock. The online menu for family of 4 size package says, ANY 7 skewers and 4 portions of rice. I called to select a couple of kebab skewers I desired. To my surpise, it is not up to the customer but it is preselected! Then why is your website doesn't show specifically which kebak skewers are included in this package? People need to know before they choose it! It was one skewer of tikka cube, one chapli kebab, two beef shami kabab, and 3 types of chicken. We went with the order anyways, thinking at least we will have enough rice for 4 people. Unfortunately, I didn't open the packages when taking them. When we arrived home, there were only two portions of rice at best!! All the kebabs looked like leftovers and burnt while reheating them. It was very disappointing! All the chicken skewers were very very greasy, as if dumped in a pan of oil to fry them and heat up the leftovers. If you are not willing to cook fresh meals during the day, then why is the restaurant open from 7am??? If you only cook certain meals fresh during certain hours, then say so on the website and phone call orders, so people would know the options are limited. Nobody ever wants to pay for a heated up leftover food from a restaurant! The restaurant has both traditional and fast food menu, which is way too much for a chef or cooks there to handle. You clearly can't handle cooking so many things you tried to just put up there on the menu. The website and posters inside and on the entrance door, said "serving ice cream now". I couldn't see any ice cream in the fridge, i thought to ask them anyway, not surprisingly, they "will start serving it soon". Do they need someone better with poster designing and proper usage of vocabulary? it is close to university campus, I am sure there are plenty students happy to fill that position. I think you can do better by your name. You don't need to have such long menu, just try to cook fresh food for the price you sell them.

We first learned of Paghman Kabobs, when the Guelph Mayor posted a ribbon cutting ceremony on his Instagram. They opened in late November 2020, and thanks to that post, we decided to order that same weekend. We love trying different foods from around the world, and we definitely have been working hard to support small businesses drone the Covid-19 Pandemic. We order take out at least once a week, sometimes 2 or 3 times to help do our part to help small businesses during these challenging times. So, when a new business dares to open in the midst of all of this chaos, of course we had to check them out. We called in our order for pick up - because we dont want the delivery services to tap into their profits. We had the Kabob Special, which comes with 3 different kabobs salad, rice, and more. The meals are extremely flavourful, well cooked, beautifully presented, and oh so satisfying. There is so much food in the meals it is almost impossible to finish it all. The Service is very good. The people are really nice, friendly, very appreciative of the support of their new business. Since they have opened, we have no ordered twice from Paghman Kabob in Guelph, and have enjoyed our meals both time. Our next order will be the pizza. The prices are very good. Very affordable, and for the amount of food you get,…. A real bargain. I highly recommend checking out this new place in Guelph and including them in your Take Out ordering rotations.

By far the very worst food of this category in the area. They should take some notes from the existing restaurants here. I included a photo of Paghman. Go check the pictures of a real restaurant like Olive Tree and compare. If you order a plate you get 3-4 tiny meat nuggets on a mountain of unflavored minute rice next to the saddest salad I've ever seen. I can't believe the # of 5 star reviews. It's literally 95% unflavoured rice and 2% meat. (The meat is tough and overcooked too) At Olive tree you'd get a mountain of meat ontop of really well flavoured rice, potato, all sorts of sauces and a really great quality salad to go with it - FOR CHEAPER. My highschools cafeteria makes a better meal than this. Maybe this is just a front for money laundering? Who knows. I will absolutely never order here again, and trust me you shouldn't either.

Update: I've been coming here regularly in the past couple of weeks and I've gotten a deeper understanding of the food. I've read people saying the food is bland. And individually some of the things here can be bland but that's not the TRUE MAGIC of this restaurant. The true bliss of Paghman Kabob is the PERFECT BALANCE of their food. The meals needed to be eaten together. All the sauces need to be poured onto the meat AND rice. Every component of the meal compliment each other PERFECTLY. This perfection needs mastery of the ingredients and cooking methods. It takes experience and genius to make subtlety be heaven. I'm always looking for good food but I've rarely had food that raised the bar on an entire cuisine. Pagman Kabob raised the bar of what middle eastern food can be and I have not been dissapointed by it yet. And praising this place is purely a selfish act. It may help people find them and keep them in business so I can have more perfection.

THE FOOD IS SOOOOO AMAZING. I've been wanting to try this place ever since it opened in my neighbourhood. Today I did and I was definitely not dissapointed. As I sit here outside eating my lamb kebob meal, I am dancing in happiness by how good the food is. I really really hope they don't become a victim of covid because it is such an amazing addition to the city restaurant scene. Now that I've gushed over their food, it's time to praise the staff. They're so friendly. I'm definitely coming back. In fact, Paghman Kabob have become one of my favourate places to...
