Pizza Nova — Restaurant in Guelph

I love pizza and I'm very picky! I've also made pizza dough for pizza Hut! I got it last night large pizza and focaccia bread! And with upsizing from medium to large , it made the focaccia 50% off. But it cost 27,75. Way over priced!! I opened box right away crust looked bad! Not even close to enough cheese on it. Sauce didn't taste well. Crust was like cardboard no taste at all. Toppings sucked I got chicken, roasted garlic and red onions. Pizza was a bit over done , which dries it out. I didn't even finish one slice! Couldn't taste the roasted garlic! The focaccia bread I've never had but for my taste buds it had no taste! Very weird/ gross. Staff was awesome! I've never taken a pizza back based on quality! If they screwed up a topping or something obvious! Its happend. But this was first time I returned a pizza and just wanted my money back! Right now in guelph my fav pizza places are papa Johns and toppers! I love toppers crust best in town. But papa Johns is more consistent! Papa Johns I would rate 8 out of 10. Toppers 7.5. I wish I could give them a 0 star. The person who served me is named "SURYAKAN" as printed on my Pickup Order Receipt at 15:21. It was a Large Regular Crust Cheese Pizza.

The pizza the store made was EXTRA thin to the point that the middle portion of the pizza had NO DOUGH and only had cheese and sauce pouring all over the bottom of the pizza box.

To no avail after bringing it home I was too tired from work to go drive back and shove the pizza back at this location I picked it up from.

Called customer service and they said that they will escalate the situation after explaining my experience of poor quality from this location that is the only one in Guelph.

I guess people get a hit or miss from this location depending on which workers are on the shift. This is a major quality issue and it was needed to be addressed.

Do NOT trust the gluten free pizza here. We have a celiac and gluten Intolerant person in the family who both had violent attacks after eating it. We've had it a few times before but tonight there was absolutely cross contamination that occured. If your intolerant or celiac, steer clear of the Clair Rd location in Guelph and prob the entire franchise. It occured on July 5, 2025, so whoever was working that night was for sure not following protocol. I'll be sure to go out of my way to tell everyone I meet to never trust this place.
