Royal Paan — Restaurant in Guelph

They don't know what the word allergy means... When I asked to speak to the manager about allergies they wouldn't let me. Then they overcharged me and gave the wrong order. The person working took my receipt at that moment from me. When I asked for them to refund the amount she overcharged for, she had to ask the manager for permission. After waiting 15 minutes for my money back, she asked for my receipt which I gave to her already previously and she was refusing that she took it. Eventually got my money back after wasting so much time. All of my conversations had to be in Hindi because she was not understanding English well. Not knowing what allergies are and not being able to speak to a manager about allergy concerns is unbelievable for a restaurant. Will not be returning and will be telling friends to stay away...

I visited this location for the first time today to try something different for my lunch break. I was pleasantly surprised to learn they have an extensive vegetarian menu with lunch style foods of an Indian cuisine. Traditionally when I’ve gone out for Indian food it is served as a plate, but this location had many wrap, sandwich, and hot burger options to choose from. I order the Paneer burger and was pleasantly surprised with what I received; flavourful cooked paneer pieces with an aloo (potato) patty on a warm bun with a sliced of fresh green pepper. The flavours worked so well together I was very satisfied and get full after. Can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, I think this spot is unique to Guelph in its unique style and the prices are very reasonable and comparable to fast food… but with much more flavour...

We tried 4 items today from list (they didn’t had raaj kachori :(.

Pav bhaji. It was good and I liked how crispy those pav were. Good pav bhaaji

Momos. Filling was sort of tasteless and soya bean chunks were not adding any flavour or filling. Red sauce was good and mayo was not.

Stuff kulacha. This was something more disappointing. Stuffing was bit sweet which is not expected. Plus it was missing lots to flavour tangy, and spicy plus a side of pickle. May be this is what I used to eat in delhi.

Aalo tikki chat. This was good. I like the flavour and ingredients. Only thing I was confused it had too much gravy/water in it. Little is fine but when your sev is floating and totally soaked it lost it crunchiness.

I will be trying few more things more menu next time but I hope they can fix this...
