Cozy little dive without the without the dive bar ick!
Upon entering R U Serious we were able to seat ourselves, and were greeted warmly within a minute of sitting down. Dining area was smaller than expected by the size of the building, but it lends to a cozy atmosphere. TVs are viewable from all seating locations, the table we sat at felt sturdy and neither it or the accompanying chairs had any wobble.
Tuesdays and Wednesdays there is a deal on for little pitchers if you are looking for that, nice price point for it as well, and pints are in a good price range by themselves as well.
Table ordered a chicken club, you have multiple options for your choice of bread. Rather enjoy the sandwich was made with chunks of chicken meat and not just deli slices like some restaurants may do. Added a little black pepper to the sandwich and it goes great with the tomato slices The fries were not under or overdone and appear to be blanched ahead of time, it rounds out the meal nicely for a pub feel to them. Ordered a side of medium BBQ sauce to dip with.
Taco salad was also ordered, and recommended as an enjoyable meal by our server. Portion was ample and was a flavourful delight. Came with portion cups of salsa, sour cream and ranch to add onto this mighty meal. Tortilla bowl remained crunchy all the way through the meal, even the base of the bowl. Looking for something a little different, may want to give this a try. :)
Sweet potato fries were ordered as a side and the portion size was good for the price, and comes with a chipotle mayo cup for dipping.
If you find yourself passing along Silvercreek Parkway and feeling hungry, surely you can consider stopping in and giving them a try?
We did and were glad to have given the place a chance, and don't...
Read moreYes, I’m serious when I say this pub makes excellent food and easily deserves 5 stars! I Highly recommended the team here if you want a drink and bite on a cheat day.
After my favourite burger place closed down for good, I wanted to find a spot that offered fresh cut fries and homemade burgers (not the frozen garbage), and I looked this restaurant up to try. Turns out they make amazing food; the burgers are huge and the prices are fair because of the portions. I tried their Serious wrap this week, and that was excellent too, and came with sides of salsa and tzatziki.
I also appreciate the little things this team provides like packaging the takeout nicely, giving high quality napkins, providing condiments and lots of toppings on the burgers they sell. Not all places do all this nor package the food well, so there’s value here too. Since I’ve worked for both GFS and Sysco and know how much things cost, the food prices here are more than fair, so give this family-owned business a try and enjoy their food.
I’ll stay for a few beers sometime with my food next time. Thx so much as always, Team...
Read moreMy partner and I get their fish & chips every two weeks. We've always liked the taste and texture of their fish and chips. Unfortunately, this time the food was totally different. First, the fries were so over salted that it was like eating straight salt. The batter that has a nice tasty and crunchy taste about it, did not. The sauce underneath the batter was pastey and spicy hot. It was the worse fish and chips we ever had. When we called R U serious to let them know, the woman was less than cordial and was rude. We didn't want anything from them. We were polite when we told her about it. We just wanted to let them know so they could check in to it. The way she talked to us was condescending and rude. Being in the restaurant business you think she would be on top of something like that. We are not going back to get food there, not because we had one bad experience with the fish and chips. We are not going back there because how the...
