Wally Parr Foods — Restaurant in Guelph

Story time!! I was just taking my dog Pikka to the vet for a routine visit which is in the same parking lot as Wally Parr Sausages. My dog was scared as usual but this time he slipped his collar. He has done this before but never runs away. Today he booked it!! I was terrified he would go onto Gordon which is a very busy street. Pikka stopped when I called once he was in front of WPS. He started to return to me but as soon as I made a move to pick him up he booked it again... Onto Gordon. My heart dropped! I though for sure he was going to be hit. Just as Pikka ran into the street a wonderful someone from WPS appeared waving a delicious sausage for my bad dog. I grabbed the meat from them and crossed the street with it after Pikka. As soon as he saw the treat in my hand he wanted to smell it at which point I was able to pick him up and walk him back to the vet. These are the sort of people who make WPS such a wonderful place to shop. They are caring, kind people who helped me catch my run away pup when they didn't have to. Thank you nice person from Wally...

Wow!! Incredible customer service as everyone was saying! My partner and I are new to the area, and we can’t believe it took us this long to find such a hidden gem! The prices are reasonable, they have an wide selection of frozen meats/ sausages/ seafood/ one pot freezer meals that we can’t wait to try! I picked up the sausage, with a fresh daily baked bun, and it was mouth wateringly good even when I got home! Love their sausage in a bun sides - the pickles are amazing (from my partner, who is a certified pickle lover, it makes the Costco ones look so sad), their orange hot and sweet sauce is so unique and delicious, and the sauerkraut is flavourful without being too salty or acidic!

& they have the fluffiest $1.99 cinnamon buns with cream cheese (baked daily), even without needing to be heated up, and even fluffier once heated!

Can’t wait to be back, and bring my friends when they visit from Toronto! In fact, my partner is hoping to come back...

A new gem that opened in Guelph last year that is a must visit every time you do your grocery shopping. A family owned business that offers a wide variety of delicious products that has me leaving the store every time with something new to try. The owners, Bill and Cathy, and staff constantly go out of their way to get to know the customers and provide exceptional customer service.

They've adopted extremely well with the new protocols during this pandemic and I feel very comfortable visiting the store. They also introduced an excellent curbside pickup system through their website that we recently used. My latest shopping experience had me deal with Michael at the store who went above and beyond to ensure a smooth process with my curbside pickup order, payment processing and delivery of product into my car.

I highly recommend their freshly made buns, peameal bacon, steaks and sausage rolls - these items are on the shopping list...
