Tried Hop Sing for the first time recently and will not be ordering from there again. The Orange Peel Beef's sauce is very tasty but there is very little beef in the dish for the price, it was mostly huge chunks of green pepper. They put the chicken balls in the sweet and sour sauce instead of serving it on the side. I find it makes the breading soggy. I also ordered the Lemon Chicken which amounted to large flat chicken breasts deep fried in batter and served with a lemon sauce on the side. The food varies from visit to visit, but my meal tonight was the best I have ever experienced there and one of the best Chinese meals in a restaurant that I have ever had. I like things flavorful and spicy, and they prepare it exactly the way that I like it, so yes, they are accommodating. I never order the combos that are the standard fare in most Westernized Chinese restaurants. This amazing family have owned and ran this incredible little take out restaurant for over 40 (?) years. The food is always hot, fast fresh and tasty and the portions are huge. I easily get two meals or more out of my combo. The lady that manages the front counter takes orders and process payments is such a wonderful, friendly , helpful and kind person.
