Mezza Lebanese Kitchen (Larry Uteck) — Restaurant in Halifax

As a business owner, I really don't like to leave reviews that can negatively impact another business, but the treatment I got from this restaurant was Jaw dropping. I work full time and most times I don't get home I'm time to make a healthy meal for my children, therefore, I'll stop at this restaurant to buy dinner, which meant that 3 to 4 times in a month, I spend almost $100 at this restaurant. I have very picky eaters, we also have some food allergies therefore I ask everytime for no tomatoes and no salad dressing or source in the food and everytime, the order is wrong. It got so bad that I had 2 plates of food not eaten because they got the order wrong, I called them to let them know about it - they decided to replace them, which I appreciated. Today was the highlight of an insult, I called in my order and got the girl to repeat it to me and still everything that we didn't ask for was put into it I was disappointed but calm as I reported that they got the order wrong yet again which means the food is a waste and the phone was passed on to the manager who proceeded to tell me that they're not going to give me any free food. Excuse me? I have easily spent over $2000 with your store since November last year but you accuse me of asking for free food? You are very reckless with your choice of words, it's uncalled for and we're no longer coming to your restaurants. Mezza Lebanese Food offers a nice atmosphere and genuinely friendly service. My recent visit, driven by my love for their chicken shawarma wrap, left me with mixed feelings.

Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the chicken shawarma wrap. While the quality of ingredients is commendable, I couldn't overlook a couple of nuances. The chicken, though flavorful, leaned towards the dry side, and the pita, while decent, felt a bit too thin for my liking.

Despite these observations, the overall experience was a solid 10 out of 10. Mezza Lebanese Food has its charm, and my taste buds did appreciate the journey. However, in the vast world of non-chain establishments, I've encountered heartier shawarma wraps. I watched a staff member handle cash, then serve food without washing his hands, only then to go into the back, where I watched him wipe his nose on his hands before continuing to handle food (without any gloves and still without hands washed). Specifically, arranging the French fries with his bare hands!

I also had to correct the cashier as they attempted to charge me for the non-lunch option, even though I had asked for the lunch specific special. I watched the same process happened to persons behind me in the line to order.

Finally, when, receiving my order I was asked if I would like pita bread to which I replied, yes, but didn’t receive pita bread.
