Redwood Grill — Restaurant in Halifax

We enjoyed our dinner at Redwood Grill. We went on a friday which is 50% off cocktails, they were pretty tasty. I ordered the Dave Matthew’s and my partner ordered the Paloma. They were both nice, but I wish my glass wasn’t so small. We ordered the beet and goat cheese salad to share, and it was fresh and delicious. I ordered the blackened salmon, and I really enjoyed it. The salmon was definitely the star of the plate, it was cooked beautifully. I liked the brown butter sauce and the cajun pickle on top but I would have liked a little bit more. The rice and veggies were good but as I would expect they were plain so I would have liked a little bit more sauce or flavour to add an extra oomph to the dish. I appreciated the lemon to squeeze. But yes, I did really enjoy it. My partner ordered the Haddock BLT and mash. It was great, I tried some and I thought it was really tasty. The service was good, we didn’t wait too long and the staff were nice. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, it started to pick up as we were leaving I think. It was clean and fairly quiet. I would definitely like to go back, I want to try some other things on the menu and enjoy more 50% off cocktails. I seen they had decent specials on other nights of the week as well. I recently had the pleasure of dining at Redwood Grill with a large party of 7 adults and 2 toddlers, and I must say that I was thoroughly impressed with the service we received. From the moment we walked in, the staff was attentive, friendly, and accommodating to our needs.

The food at Redwood Grill was equally impressive. We started off with the calamari, which was cooked to perfection and had just the right amount of seasoning. The Beef Tagliata Fettuccine was also a hit with our group, as the meat was tender and flavorful, and the pasta was cooked al dente.

However, the true standout of the meal was the mussels, which were absolutely amazing. They were fresh, juicy, and had a delicious flavor that was complemented perfectly by the broth they were served in. We couldn't get enough of them!

While the chef feature mushroom ravioli was good, we found that it was a bit too oily for our liking. However, this was only a minor issue and did not detract from the overall quality...

First time visiting Redwood Grill , will definitely be back. Service was A+++ , Alicia was amazing with an unexpected busy burst of customers for the time of visit.

Crispy Cajun Chicken Burger w/side Ceasar Salad. Which was a nice filet of breaded chicken, not chopped and formed into a burger patty. Ceasar Salad was delicious and one of the better ones I've had in restaurants.

Maple Mania Burger w/side French fries. Very enjoyable flavor to this burger with a multitude of toppings. Though lessening or removing the onion rings would make it less of a greasy burger experience.

Signature Rum Carrot Cake , a very delectable carrot cake. Extremely moist and sweet. Enjoyable desert to finish the meal.

Best part about Redwood Grill is the clean history with the food inspection agency. Unlike many other local establishments!
