Tanner's All-Star Deli — Restaurant in Halifax

Never again will I go to subway knowing this place is 5 seconds away. Great prices, fresh bread, and they load up your sub with whatever toppings you want. When I ask for olives at tanners, I get an entire layer of olives VS the light dusting I get at subway. My only suggestion would be to add a spicy mayo option to the sauces, and parmesan cheese to the seasonings, but I don't mind switching up my order and trying something new.

Been wanting to come here a while. Did not disappoint. The staff were really nice and the food was great. Definitely way better than subway and pretty much the same price or cheaper.

Edit :forgot to mention, the owner does a lot for the community and has always given back. Not only are you rewarding someone local, you are keeping the money local and giving back to the community. It's unbelievable how cheap the subs are here. I got a foot long cold cut for $6. In 2024. That's unbelievable. It almost reminds me of donini's pizza a decade ago when they had those flyers and you couldn't believe how cheap it was. Now that place is called North Street Pizza and it's the same price as everywhere else.. but I digress.

I give the sub in a vacuum a 3.5 rounded up for this review. Very good, much better than Subway (at literally speaking half the price) but I'd put it below Kelly's. At that price though it's a 5...
