''OLYMPIC'' GREEK SOUVLAKI — Restaurant in Halton Hills

I had lunch at this restaurant today(August 7th). There are a few enticing lunch specials. My choice was a Western Sandwich with Fries plus Coffee or Tea(as states the menu). I requested no green pepper in my Western. As I was about to ask for tea with milk was given the choice of a can of pop. When my lunch arrived I looked at my sandwich which had pieces of tomato in the Western mix, what if I was allergic to tomato? Nothing on menu stated tomatoes were in the sandwich mix. The French Fries were EXTREMELY forgettable, deep fried frozen frozen, very hard with no flavour. The decor is tired, I got the feeling the restaurant does more take out business than dine in. The Server didn't ask if I wanted dessert or anything else. The price of my special was $10.95 plus tax. The price was fair, the quantity good, quality and atmosphere dismal. Dear Owners, NEVER have I EVER eaten a Western sandwich with tomatoes. I didn't feel that asking for no green peppers would be difficult. If you bring up the quality of your French Fries would make a HUGE DIFFERENCE. However I am only a customer, what do I know? You Folks are still open.

Sometimes, the best food won't always be at franchise restaurants. Instead, it can often be found at your local diner. Olympic Greek Souvlaki certainly proved that with their Chicken Souvlaki dinner.

Firstly, I didn't know I could call in advance for take out, so I advise you to do so. But the food was worth the wait. It was fresh, well seasoned, and nothing was dry. I truly enjoyed every bite. So far, this is the best Greek dish I've ever had. The cost was $21.95 and worth every penny(drink excluded).

Olympic Greek Souvlaki is a nice old school setting, and can accommodate small gatherings. The place is kept clean, and the kitchen is visible from the dining area.

It was a pleasure meeting Chris (the chef)who started a friendly conversation with me. He even checked to see if I was okay with all the ingredients for the salad, which was also delicious.

Terrible, my experience in this restaurant was terrible, I asked for a plate with chicken and no fries and they brought me beef and fries to the table, and I ordered a cesar salad to share with my partner and the cesar salad did not have chicken,…. the waitress did not listen to what i asked or just brought what she wanted , we paid 50 dollars for a caesar salad without chicken and two ducks that had to be chicken and they served us beef and some disgusting fries that I asked him not to bring me the plate, very bad service, very bad food, we had stomach problems that night and the next day as well. the restaurant is very ugly and the decoration is in very bad taste, I will never go back to that place in my life and whoever reads this message should think twice before going to the Olympia de action restaurant to be robbed in...
