Tandoori Tikka Lounge — Restaurant in Halton Hills

I felt this experience needed to be shared. We booked lounge for my niece’s birthday and gender reveal. We decided to book this restaurant last weekend after hearing good things about the food. While the dishes themselves were okay, the owner’s attitude and tone completely ruined what could have been a nice event.

For gender reveal we used confetti and at the end of the event as a courtesy my cousin went to ask server, we have to clean this or you guys going to do clean up. She said you guys don’t have to we will do it. With in 5 minutes Laxman (Owner) came and started yelling who gave you permission to do it. FYI:- We were not provided any information at the time of booking that we can’t use confetti

He was curt and dismissive, as if we were inconveniencing him just by being there, his tone toward us was harsh and condescending. At one point, I politely mentioned that we did ask the server do we have to clean, Laxman raised his voice and responded with a sigh and ignored what i said .When i mentioned we don’t mind sweeping just let us provide us the tools. He said yes clean it and leave. When i brought up that this is not the appropriate way to approach us not a great customer service, he is ruining my niece’s birthday and our day he rudely replied in front of our guests that i don’t care what you guys think,This needs to be cleaned.

What bothered me most wasn’t just the rudeness, but the lack of basic respect. A restaurant can have great food, but if the owner treats customers with that kind of tone, it’s hard to enjoy anything. Good service starts with kindness and hospitality, and unfortunately, that was missing here.

Having been a fan of the previous restaurant at this location, I was initially sad to see Georgetown Thai leave. However, my recent dinner experience at Tandoori Tikka Lounge, which has taken over the spot, was incredibly satisfying and has quickly turned my disappointment into enthusiasm. The new owner has done a remarkable job with the place, infusing it with both charm and elegance. Not only were we greeted with warmth and generosity, but we were also offered a personal tour of the renovated restaurant and its new party space in the basement, which clearly showcased the hard work and dedication put into the establishment.

The food was nothing short of phenomenal. As someone who has enjoyed both Indian and Hakka cuisine at many other venues, Tandoori Tikka Lounge stands out with its exceptional quality. The dishes were all flavorful, with perfect portion sizes that left us both satisfied and excited for our next visit. It’s rare to find a place that hits all the right notes right from the start, but this lounge has done just that.
