The whole experience needs to be acknowledged. Usually I would give 5 stars if the food is pretty good and the service is pretty good but these guys are so good that it completely changes my standards. Their burgers: these are the best burgers around. The chuck they use is flavorful and juicy. They cook them to perfection every time. Don't be put off if the burger breaks up a bit - their patties are free from fillers and excessive binders - it's just pure beef and the taste is outstanding. They use Ace Bakery Buns! These buns are a game changer and cannot be beat. The toppings are always fresh and plentiful - if you ask for extra toppings they will cater to you but be warned, your burger will be huge. This brings me to my next point: they actually care about the presentation of your burger and won't just slap it together and hope that the the foil wrap holds it together. Fries: expertly seasoned and worth it. Why in the world would anyone buy burgers at the place located across the street from them (with an M logo)? And their price is low too. It's actually the same as most fast food joints. Now on to the service - the staff really make you feel valued - every time I go with my 5 year old they actually remember me and what my daughter likes. These guys are another level and I wish them success long into the future. I've tried most burger joints in GTA and Grind is the best. Oh, and I would like to point out that their 1 and 2 star ratings are from people who have only reviewed less than 10 or so times - they clearly don't have much experience with eating out and it seems some even set their standards with garbage fast food burgers - I've eaten at the places suggested in the bad reviews and there is no comparison. A full meal at Grind is def worth...
Read moreUPDATE 2020 I tried out Mega Burgers last month and is far more superior, especially the daily lunch burger combo under 6 bucks that can't be beat for the value! The mall burger place Frisco is great also for 4 bucks!
2019 Ok! after changing my review last month when my GF picked up take out for us and burger had more taste then originally to be positive. Back to one star based on simple basis that proprietor / manager did not acknowledge or comment after my revised positive food review for close to three weeks. This shows me clearly they only care about the sheep falling for their over priced combos. People go to a butcher shop locally season superb meat yourself and make a great BBQ charcoal flavoured at 1/4 the price. What perturbed me the most was the manipulated testimonials before they opened on website. Of course family and friends will give superb opinions when given free food lol. Tip if no time to do BBQ, go to GTOWN mall food court (fry place) for a great $3.99 burger just not as big however juicy and fries are just as good. I also look forward to Mega Burgers opening up in old King Pizza spot near Kyoto and review to follow. WITHOUT PREJUDICE They are possibly grinding there way out to flip it to a innocent gopher one day. It's may be destined based on what I could determine with Burger Boy model that failed before. Also half of the review's are one review hit wonders maybe shadow accounts to boost up rating could be evident as there names don't exist in Halton...
Read moreAlthough I really enjoyed the meal, I however did not enjoy being charged 30% tip. I had placed a rather large order for my six person family. I said I would be paying with credit card. I was handed the pay device with the tap screen already cued up. As I tapped my credit card I glanced down and read the total price and saw a 30% tip had been added to the total. I immediately said "Wait a minute. Why is it $69 when the total was $53?" to which the lady operating the cash register said "it was an automatic tip".
Do you tip 30% for a fast food service? It's a great burger, but not worth a 30% tip.
Are customers not supposed to use their own discretion if they want to leave a tip? The lady acted very quickly to refund me the money, but why was I handed a pay device with the tip added. The total amount displayed on the cash register and the amount on the pay device screen were completely different. What if I had not looked at the tap screen too closely, and just paid and walked away? How many people just tap and walk away? Is this how they operate their business, by adding large tips to orders without informing the customer? Beware of what you are paying at Grind Burger. The total on the cash register might not be what you are actually paying if you are using credit or debit. You might be paying an...
