This is a review from somebody who's been here many times. No single visit influenced my review. It's a culmination of there not being many fast food options around, especially at odd hours, and letting the kids use the play place.
First, does anyone from here clean anything ever? Disgusting pigsty. You don't see people walking around cleaning. Ever.
No chicken available. Literally can't order chicken here right now. July 29, 2025. McNuggets, McChicken, crispy chicken wrap. Nope. Not at this place.
The lineups are terrible. Parking lot sucks. Loses another star for being the only fast food restaurant in the world to not offer free refills. Talk about cheapskates!
The new playplace is ok. Not very good, but it's available. And is typically way too overcrowded as well with loud overaged kids.
You will wait an inordinate amount of time for your food. I feel like McDonald's is a franchise puts policies in place so you don't wait that long. It seems this place just ignores the corporate mandate on things like deals, free refills, food availability and quick service.
Also, zero clue how to make a coffee. Every single coffee I order tastes different, even if I order the exact same thing. This is McDs nation wide issue, though. Cold brew, iced coffee, it never tastes good. Sometimes it's literally white, like they gave me a cup of milk with a splash of coffee.
Lastly, I'd say about 50% of our orders have had some sort of issue, often just flat out missing items. We get home then need to follow up online. We're out $20 in food so they give us $4 in reward point value to make up for it. What?! There used to be a guy who'd reach out locally. Now they throw a few thousand useless expiring reward points at you and don't even refund what you bought and didn't receive. Lunacy!
If this is an indicator for the McDonald's brand across Canada then this is going down hill as much as...
Read moreI went to this location last night just before 6:30. I had placed a mobile order ahead of time and planned on parking in a curbside pickup spot, as I usually do. When there wasn't one available, I parked in a normal spot and went into the restaurant to pickup.
The bad: There must have been close to 25 people waiting for their food, not including the Skip, Uber, and DoorDash drivers waiting for their orders also. The restaurant was incredibly backed up and couldn't keep up with orders. I waited 35 minutes before getting my order.
The good: In the 35 minutes I waited for my order, I don't think I saw a single employee that wasn't working their rear end off trying to get caught up and keep up with demand. Kudos to the staff, and management, who made the decision to temporarily stop taking orders so that they could get caught up and make sure everyone that had been waiting got their order and that it was correct. Also, they were doing this while being berated and complained at by customers. Special shout out to the gentleman that was trying to get all of the delivery orders put together while taking the brunt of the complaints. He kept his cool and did the best he could under the circumstances. My order ended up coming out hot, and exactly how I had ordered it.
Can someone explain to me why Georgetown has 9-10 Cannabis Shops, 3 Tim Hortons, but only one McDonalds? Georgetown is big enough for a second McDonalds, and needs another one desperately to take some of the pressure off this location.
Keep up...
Read moreI had terrible experience with store rep called Megan. This was Curb side pickup mobile order. When a gentlemen delivered my order, I asked him if I can get some ketchup. He said he is going bring it over. I waited like 10 mins. No one brought it. Since I didn't carry a mask I had to leave. Upon reaching home, I found out the they have also missed two donuts that were part of my order for my kids. When I called store and spoke to Sarah who is store manager, I was told that she is going to add a fries and Donuts to file and I can collect it next time. However Sarah was also not apologize for what happened. When I went to the store around 8:30 PM to pickup those items, I spoke to a lady called Megan over the phone, and told that I am waiting outside and if she can drop the Fries and Donuts to curbside which was original delivery mode for my order. Megan was so rude and said "if it was your priority to get those items, walk into the store or drive through. I asked why can't you drop at curb side. She said "I am not going to send your items outside and I am not going to repeat again." I finally had to drive through waiting on the line for 15 mins to pick those missed items from my curbside order. I am so surprised to hear someone from McDonald store like this. I have been going McDonald almost 15 years, never had this kind of...
