I have been here at least 5 times - always wanted to give the benefit of the doubt after a bad experience each time, but always left disappointed. The coffee is not bottomless - fine -not a huge deal - but the cups are tiny. We’ve had to wait a really long time most visits to have our order taken (often coming out missing things) or forgetting they already took out order. Good luck even getting that one refill of coffee. The service was terrible, rude waitress most times but not always. The wait staff seems easily overwhelmed and frazzled when they are busy. Food is meh, it’s just eggs and bacon.. nothing special there.
What made it so that I’m never coming back to this place again is I was turned away with my baby when they said they were closing in two minutes. I said the google time posted says it wasn’t closing for 30 minutes. The waitress essentially said “oh well”. No apology. No offer of just a drink or some time to warm up (me and the baby were visibly bundled and it was a cold day). i get that you want to end your shift, but that lack of empathy and curt way she responded was the last straw. I’m never going back, I’ve given them so many chances to redeem my crappy experiences.
I love greasy diner food, but I don’t understand how this place is highly rated... it’s so opposite of our many experiences here.. perhaps bad luck? In any case, there are many better places to get breakfast in the area for cheaper and tastier, with more competent service, and...
Read moreFirst time ever being at this place for breakfast. And it was a horrible experience. the waitress was rude. she didn't ask us if we wanted more coffee she just poured it. As I sat on the bench my boyfriend tells me to watch my back as there was a cockaroach crawling up the seat. I had to stop myself from screaming. although from the reviews of the place are not all that good. So then I asked my boyfriend ti switch with me. she then proceeded to only bring one set of cutlery and even after she brought my food my man had to ask for cutlery for me. I then had to get up from the table after waiting on the waitress so I could get water. so I hit up from my seat and went and asked her for two glasses of water with straws. She ended up bringing water with no straws. I then went to manager and asked her for straws. I then told her that the waitress was rude and that she has bad customers service skills. Her explanation was that she was really busy. I told her that being rude has no place in customer service as u must deal with people on a regular. I don't understand from reading the reviews on this place that the city has not shut them down...
Read moreWe live in the building next door. So, my family used to come to this restaurant quite often. I noticed the food quality generally have been inconsistent. Some days good, some days bad. Prices are high. Last Wednesday, November 23, my wife and I were at the restaurant for lunch. The food was bad and the waitress who served us was generally rude and indifferent. My wife who is a very pragmatic and level headed person was upset and offended. In these days of inflation and intense competition in the restaurant industry post-pandemic, this kind of poor and ignorant customer service is unacceptable. I would rather take my business somewhere else. It is very unlikely, we will visit this restaurant again. We always like to support local businesses. But, this is kind of unacceptable service standard. When restaurant have loyal customers coming in, they take them for granted. Take no one for granted - big mistake !
