Burrito Boyz — Restaurant in Hamilton

UPDATED REVIEW(October 2023): Shame to the name, Burrito Boyz. THEIR CONSISTENCY LEVELS ARE FLUCTUATING LIKE A ROLLER COASTER. Cold ingredients, OILY CHIPS, no balance in spice levels etc. Complete disaster.

Look how things went south in matter of just 6 months. As you can see my review below which was posted in the month of April they were good back then. But now there's a contrasting difference in what I've experienced in the past week not once but twice!

I ordered a nacho bowl from Doordash and what I got was half of what it was supposed to be. Basically it weighed even less than a bag of tortilla chips. For the price I paid($15) on DD, I would say it was barely half of its value. Coming to the disastrous preparation, I choose medium heat and there was practically NO Hot sauce added. Asked for less rice and less beans, and got grains that I could've counted with one hand. I had to ask for a refund from Doordash as it this was too bad.

Just after a couple days, we ordered the same dish again thinking that the staff must have had a bad day the last time. This time we chose one level above medium and the amount of spiciness was wayyyyyy beyond our imagination. I literally got mouth ulcers the very next day. Plus all the food was borderline stone cold. Rice was lumpy, chips were oily. Beans and apparently HOT queso was as COLD as it could be.

NOT AT ALL A PLACE I'D RECOMMEND UNTIL THEY FIGURE THINGS OUT.

OLD REVIEW (April 2023):

Can never go wrong with Burrito Boyz! Flavorful sauces with standard mexican base options and toppings. And oh, their chicken! Their chicken is perfectly seasoned. For me, quantity of nachos was good for two meals.

Chicken Nachos topped with hot queso, nothing beats that! They make it so well, you won't need to ask for more toppings. They also have daily specials.(see photos)

On my last visit, I met Arjunan, Khushbu ,Pawan. All of them were very friendly, smiling and gave good suggestions. That's what makes a customer happy.

Being a regular customer at Burrito Boyz, Centennial Parkway, Stoney Creek, I want to take a moment to share my honest feedback. First and foremost, I must commend the team for their exceptional service. The entire crew greet customers with a warm and friendly welcome, and the staff members were incredibly attentive throughout my meal. The most wonderful attribute about the staff is that they always have a smile on their face and they engage customers in a conversation that makes them smile too. Now, onto the food and the store– it was outstanding! The quality and freshness of the ingredients in my burrito were remarkable. I have never had any issue with the quality of the food that they offer.The most eye catching aspect is the cleanliness of the kitchen and the dining area. They always wear gloves and hair nets to ensure the quality of the food. I would like to thank Nicky, The Manager of the store for strictly adhering to the cleanliness and safety protocols and for properly training the staff. I would also like to thank Saurav, Khushboo(s) (there are two of them), Navpreet, Pawan, Hina for their hard work and their commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience. I would also like to express my gratitude to the individuals whose names I cannot mention here, but who have contributed significantly to the team's efforts with their hard work...

Update June 2025 - have to change my review now because of incompetent staff making the food. If you can't read what the order specified, and you keep making it wrong, you shouldn't be in this business. I ordered burritos 4 times, ALL times it does not have rice selected as a topping, but they keep adding rice. What is wrong with your staff?? Seriously, are they not able to read?? I will never be coming to this location again, and would definitely recommend for everyone to avoid them. Find a different burrito boyz. I kept letting it go, thinking it is a one time or 2 time mistake, which can happen anywhere. But 4 times making the same mistake means you genuinely are not reading the specified order and don't give a damn about what you make.

Old review: Burrito boyz made me a fan of burritos , when taco bell had me swear them off for life. Will always be grateful for that. Their food portion sizes and sauces are amazing. I wish they would disperse their sauces more evenly on the burritoa though: have the burrito tastes very dry, and the other half then has too much sauce or spice because it feels like they just put it on that side.
