I recently had the pleasure of dining at Chicago Style Pizza, and I must say, it was a delightful experience that left me craving more. As a pizza enthusiast, I've had my fair share of pizzas from various styles and regions, but this restaurant truly captured the essence of Chicago-style pizza.
Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu, which added to the overall positive impression.
Now let's talk about the star of the show—the pizza! Chicago-style pizza is known for its deep-dish crust, and Chicago Style Pizza delivered on that front. The crust was thick, buttery, and flaky, providing a solid foundation for the toppings. It had a satisfying crunch on the outside while remaining soft and doughy on the inside. Every bite was a delightful combination of flavors and textures.
The restaurant offered a variety of toppings and combinations to suit different preferences. The toppings were generously portioned, ensuring that each slice was packed with flavor.
One notable aspect of Chicago Style Pizza was their commitment to using high-quality ingredients. The sauce had a rich, tangy tomato flavor that perfectly complemented the cheese and toppings. Speaking of cheese, it was gooey, stretchy, and plentiful—a cheese lover's dream come true.
While the deep-dish pizza steals the spotlight, Chicago Style Pizza also offers other menu items such as, salads, and pasta dishes.
the restaurant is quite popular, especially during peak hours, there can be a significant wait to get a table. However, once seated, the service was prompt, and the wait was well worth it.
Overall, Chicago Style Pizza is a fantastic spot for pizza lovers and those seeking a taste of the famous Chicago-style deep-dish pizza. The combination of authentic flavors, quality ingredients, and friendly service creates an experience that will leave you satisfied and craving more. Just be prepared for a potential wait during busy times. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant if you find yourself in search of a delicious...
Read moreWe’ve tried their Chicago style deep dish pizza a couple times as takeout and dined in earlier this year. Our dine-in experience was a mixed bag, overall the pizza is worth it but the other dishes were disappointing. The restaurant’s atmosphere is amazing and the service was friendly.
The good stuff: We had a small deep dish Chicago style pizza and it was tasty and delicious as the takeout ones had been in the past too. It is very cheesy and indulgent. The presentation is also beautiful and definitely worth it having this at the restaurant!
It’s a beautiful restaurant and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. It’s a popular spot, we showed up just as they opened and they filled up pretty fast!
They made a cocktail as non alcoholic version even though they don’t have it on their menu which is effort I always appreciate. The server also did give a heads up that the deep dish takes about 40 minutes to prepare and we received it about 35 minutes after ordering.
The not so good: The Mediterranean salad was okay, the salad had large and uneven chucks of lettuce and peppers which just didn’t seem thoughtfully prepared. And besides feta crumble on the top, the ratio with rest of ingredients weren’t great.
We also had the Tortellini Alfredo and this was unfortunately the most disappointing dish. The tortellini filling was bland and the sauce tasted like a poorly prepared can of sauce, there’s no other way to describe it. We did mention this to our server and they did remove the dish from our bill, which we appreciated.
The Baked Rigatoni was okay, however, the mozzarella layer that should be done Al Forno style wasn’t properly baked and the dish just didn’t have much flavour.
The cappuccino machine wasn’t working and as a note, we had onions in our deep dish pizza and they weren’t fully cooked so perhaps not the best ingredient for this.
We would go back for the deep dish pizza and the atmosphere, the rest was unfortunately quite disappointing.
P.S. when they say their portions are huge, they mean it! We weren’t and ordered large entrees and they are big, especially if you...
Read moreThis has been my favourite place for 30+ years… it used to be 5 stars every meal…the last few times i have ordered the exact same dish as i have each and every time i have eaten here regardless if take out or in restaurant- something has gone wrong with my fettuccine Alfredo- twice burnt to a crisp, twice no sauce once we also got a very black combo bread so stopped getting that… and this time the Alfredo sauce is only butter… no creamy texture. The only part right was the blanket of mozzarella which is the only white part in this picture. Eating a mouthful of melted butter was not ok. We were told sometimes the sauce separates. This has never happened in 30 years to me, i am highly disappointed the quality is going down hill for take out The cooks could have easily seen it and not allowed any of these mistakes to go out the door. As loyal customers we would have waited for a remake and understood if it wasn’t right. I highly doubt this would have happened if we decided to eat in this time. Truly sad that this great restaurant no longer guarantees the quality loyal customers like us have been accustomed to for decades. We send many people here as its the best in the world! A rare mistake we can appreciate but 5 mistakes in a row with take out is not ok. Please bring back the original quality and not allow things like this to go out the door. Especially when we travel to get there. I ordered this when i lived an hour drive and this never happened. Now a 15-20 minute drive and it was returned to the store. So very disappointed in the reasons provided by the owner when 30 years of quality experience said very different. Reasons given: sometimes the sauce separates” ok cool but why did it get out the door then when it was clearly all butter And the topping of...
