CheeZaatar — Restaurant in Hamilton

Have been going since they've opened, the wood fire oven is now replaced with a commercial gas unit. The pitas were rolled up like every other "fast food" joint even after we mentioned we wanted the pitas folded in half, like usual when we thought she was asking about some new rolled option when placing our order.

With the increased pricing the filling seems to have decreased. Not sure why they had to change what was working. Now it's thick bread bites with little cheese and meat.

The person answering the phone was either oblivious to the fact they had next to no parking and cars had to wait on the street or they didn't care. Mentioned 3 times on the call to place an order to see if the 20-25 timing could be improved since we were already out front and only ordered by phone because the lot was next to non existent with the way it was plowed and cars were lined up...

60 bucks for 2 dip apps, a twisted shwarma, and awesome chicken and 2 side pitas (pitas are surprisingly large, which is great!)

Shwarma is deconstructed with all ingredients in a separate container....no problem.

Shwarma meat is cold... problem.

Absolute Chicken is wrapped together with side pita....no problem.

Absolute Chicken, opened up, looks like a hot mess slapped together sandwich versus the presentation on website.....problem.

Arrive approx 30 minutes after order put in (was given 25-30 minute order time) and asked for another five minutes to finish order.....no problem.

Call back when I get home asking about cold meat and told, after much hesitation, that they could make another one for me....problem.

Personally, I'd stick with Paramount Middle Eastern Kitchen, La Luna, or Safin Grill over this place. Waste of...

I visited this cozy and beautiful bakery 2 days ago for the first time. The least I can say about its food is great, super tasty and clean. Fast service, very friendly staff, and a well maintained eatery with a bright ambiance. I really recommend everyone to try it. They have a variety of choices (fatteh was so good, as well the manakeesh were so yummy, plus the irresistible halloumi-tomatoes pan 😋). I live in Canada since 2 years and I’ve tried tens of Mediterranean options so far but never satisfied about neither the quality nor the taste of food. This place is “a MUST try” 👍🏼. Definitely will go again and Yes it’s worth it to pay a trip all the way from Mississauga to Hamilton to enjoy a good meal. I wish them the best of luck and to expand with more branches...
