Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Hamilton

UTTERLY DISAPPOINTING. PIZZA WAS INEDIBLE. RAW DOUGH, BLACK OLIVES GONE BAD AND MORE. AFTER SPENDING OVER 50$ ON A MEAL FOR A SPECIAL MOVIE NIGHT, IT WAS WAISTED. I HAVE VIDEOS OF OUR RAW PIZZA DOUGH.

Explanation:

My boyfriend and our friends had ordered a WELLDONE XL "The Works" Pizza, with a side order of Tuscan cheese sticks & jalapeño rolls, last night, Fri Dec 29, 2023.

We picked up on the way home while out. After much thought of where to eat, searching take out in the area, we decided to order take out at Papa John's out of all places (Supposed to be top notch).

As mentioned above, we specified to have it Well Done. Well done means well done - should not have to say "very well done" as they said when I called to complain after spending over $50 on food which no one would eat. (Everyone had lost their appetites).

We took the pizza home, and it was literally RAW DOUGH. It was difficult to pull apart (should have been first sign), disgusting to eat. Was a mess. Worse pizza ever had. The black olivies were turned, they tasted spoiled. Many of the toppings were laying raw, cold, uncooked under the cheese. 4/4 people agreed.

It didn't help that they piled sauce on our pizza - there was globs of sauce. We did not ask for extra or double cheese, or extra sauce - there was too much cheese. I'm sure that helped with the fact the pizza itself and toppings were raw.

We called the location to complain. The staff said they would call manager and get back. They called back to say "it was well done. The pizza was done properly. This is how we make all our pizzas and no one ever complains".

.... I have worked in management throughout my life. I know this is not how you resolve a bad experience from a client or customer. They said they would not return our money. They would make a new pizza, but by this point, it would have taken 1 hr for me to go get it and come back home. Plus all of us were so turned off from eating here, or any pizza at all after this experience.

They should have offered to deliver us a new one considering the mistake and bad service provided on their part. Stand by...

Worst experience ever: I’ve Bought Papa John pizzas here since they opened the last few months have changed I always order two extra large the works pizza🍕 disgusting now they hardly put any toppings green pepper you get a few inches here there they don’t cover the pizza like they used to and the onions are bad. We had to throw the pizzas out. The last ones we ordered just absolutely sickening. It’s like a two year-old make the pizza. There was only one lady doing the pizzas taking the calls and they were rock hard guess they were left in the oven too long tasted like I was eating a cracker gross never again. 3.5 is a MASSIVE RED FLAG and I missed it.

Undercooked leading to a chewy and mushy pizza. Approaching 3 cm of crust on outside not covered with topping and sauce. Not sure how much toppings that were given as all that could be seen was cheese. All taste was cheese. Usually get PJ when available, but will avoid Hamilton and get somebody else's pizza next time. Worst PJ ever. A nickel and dime franchise. This was the most extensive pizza brochure that I have ever seen. THIS BIGGEST SIGN OF A FAILING BUSINESS IS A HEAVY ADVERTISING CAMPAIGN WHEN THEY ARE ESTABLISHED. THEY ARE NOT GETTING ENOUGH REPEAT AND WORD OF MOUTH BUSINESS. CUSTOMERS ARE NOT COMING BACK.
