I am very disappointed by this restaurant. The new management currently has changed so many things. I was skeptical to order food after the owners demise. I ordered food day before he died, and I ordered food recently. The difference is so visible. The quantity decreased, quality, taste, presentation all so changed. Not sure if the current management is trying to cut the cost for budget or may be struggling. Please don’t change anything from what the previous owner used to do. He used to do things with full heart and may be that’s why the restaurant had barakat in the food and it tasted so good. Now, the same food and the same items taste like zero rating. I got serious acidity after eating the food. This was first time ever that I got acidity after eating the food. I have had the same dishes before uncle was alive and never ever I faced acidity issues. I would order food every other day of the week and still no complaints. Lahore fish was my all time favourite and now it taste like rubber. Pardon me On top of that you stopped promotions which was uncle way of making sure the custom returns by giving good customer service. Now, all I see is an empty restaurant.
Response to the reply from restaurant: It’s not a false review, please learn to accept honest reviews. The fish was literally like rubber, cold, terrible batter, tasteless, so is the other items ordered through your restaurant. Biryani was as usual tasteless and so were the curries. I have been a customer with you guys and always every time giving the chances and spending 120+ but now it’s too much to handle. Not only you guys decreased the quantity but also decreased the taste. I would rather drive 45 minutes and get good food in Mississauga than buy food from you guys now. Restaurant...

Read moreI used to go here all the time, even when they were located downtown Hamilton. The samosas are handmade and large and super damn delicious. But recently I have discovered better Indian restaurants. Mahal used to be a 4 star before but I have to lower the rating now due to the lower quality meals I have been getting. The butter chicken dish now is mostly sauce with about 3 pieces of chicken in it. Used to have much more chicken. For the price this is expensive and not worth going here. It's sad really because I used to LOVE this restaurant. Now I would not recommend. Unless you just want a few samosas. Worth going for the delicious samosa. But there are better Indian restaurants, like sagarmatha curry house. I want to add though that the owners/staff here are super friendly with great customer service. The owner even gave me a free bottle of water on a very hot day when I came and picked my order up. I'm not sure why other reviewers mentioned bad customer service because this just isn't...
