China Wok — Restaurant in Hamilton

I got $50 worth of take out and the lady at the front had no personality whatsoever and then went home. My mistake, I ordered a wrong dish but also bought a pork In red sauce which turned out to be a porkball in dough which was not like it was the time before. I returned to the store and explained my situation in which the lady was very rude and looked through the bag and yelled in front of other customers where the red sauce you took a red sauce. I explained my wife must have taken it out and I would pay for the sauce. I then explained about the pork in which she replied that’s the way I do it know what do you want me to do. She then went to the back speaking Chinese in a rude tone. When she gave me the food I said thank you and she just looked at me, so as I was leaving I said some people can be rude. She then yelled what do you say to me? I told her I thought she was very rude, accused me in front of other people of stealing a red sauce and was very unprofessional. She then told me to go home and drink some more in which I took big offence as I had just gotten home from work and was still in my occupation jacket. I told her I would never eat here again and would tell other people not too either in which she replied good. I would rate this place a minus 5 star if I could as the food was average at best and that lady if she isn’t the owner should be fired instantly as she was the worst customer service person I have ever met. So please if you want good food and service do NOT go to China Wok...

This is the first negative review that I have ever written, however I have had such an awful food experience tonight that I think that it’s only fair to do so!

I had a funny feeling when I ordered became the lady was so unfriendly! I figured that maybe she just wasn’t happy because they were closing in a half hour!

I go to pick the food up about ten minutes later and again, the lady was really unfriendly! I couldn’t believe it! Not even a “hello”! I actually said as I was leaving, “You are very unfriendly”! No reaction whatsoever!! I might add that I am always an exceptionally friendly person and get along with everyone!

So, I get home with the food, (General Tso Chicken and fried rice! Well, both tasted of burned plastic and the two pieces of chicken that I tried, (before I had to relieve myself of it because it was not edible), were so grisly and the coating so tough and dreadful that it seemed to have been sitting for a day! It just all went into the garbage! I knew because of the lady’s earlier attitude that it would be a waste of time calling to have a chat about the food!

I always order from Indian Hut in town here when I fancy some take out! Their food and customer service is spectacular and I highly recommend them to everyone! I just fancied a change tonight! Big mistake!

Do not waste your time or money on this place! I wish that I had read the reviews first, before I ordered! I have seriously never had more vile...

You can find better tasting food at the bottom of a septic tank. No only did I give this place a second chance cause the food tasted a little off the first time, I ordered today, I ordered lunch. Special Shanghai house noodles hoping the first time was a just an off day for the cook..... Yeah, no the food really is gross. Whatever veg they put in were over cooked, the sauce was some disgusting some sweet orange sauce, last time I had Shanghai noodles it was savory.The two slices of chicken that I did manage to choke down had a weird texture to it and the one shrimp that I tasted, tasted very fishy which tells me it wasn't fresh. Chinese food is my absolute favorite cuisine and I have eaten at many authentic Chinese restaurants, this place has to be the worst I have ever tasted in my life, not to mention that position size is a complete rip off and the woman at the front....her attitude suck more than the food. Believe the one star reviews when they say this please isn't good at all. I had 3 bites and that was it for me, didn't finish it. I wouldn't even give this place one star. Save money and go elsewhere these people are hustlers.

Attached is a photo of what I received, I hadn't opened it yet that was the actual portion size for over $15 plus tax this is a complete rip off.

Side note: Whoever gave them 2 or more stars either is a fake account, friends of the owners or have no idea what real Authentic Chinese...
