Thankyou Clint and Canadian Home Designs. As a retired carpenter with several years experience building my Southbay Manitoulin Island dream home cottage would be no problem. After speaking with the local building department I realized it would not be so simple to meet permit requirements without proffessional guidance. The quality of service and pricing from random registered designers was poor. Thats If they even return your call. Unclear what was included in the very high price and long wait time to receive construction drawings. My online search brought me to Canadian home Designs. A search of there Designs revealed there manitoulin cottage design that looked great and suited the property perfectly. I enquired by email and was contacted by Clint that afternoon. His proffessional guidance was very helpful and fully guided me through the design with taking the time to here and discuss my ideas and any concerns. We did our homework, checked reviews and were also able to check with a local contractor who built “The Niagara”, a smaller version of “The Oshawa” which is what we were interested in. The contractor said he had “No issues with Canadian Home Designs plans”. This is the 3rd house we’ve built and dealing with Clint was by far the best experience, absolutely no stress.
