Read moreI took out my best friend for her birthday today for breakfast. She actually lives around the corner from this place and has never tried it before so we decided to check it out today. We were told to sit anywhere we wanted so we picked a booth by the window. The hostess came over quickly and asked if we wanted something to drink and was very friendly but then the server who dealt with us was not so much... She was very stand offish and kind of cold. When I asked if they have turkey bacon or sausage as an option she just flat said no. Not "sorry honey we don't offer that" or " no unfortunately not" just a flat out no.. I don't know if she was having an off day but she wasn't friendly and wouldn't even give my best friend eye contact at all. Anyways on to the food which is why we were there. My best friend ordered almost the same thing she got 2 eggs over easy hash brown's white toast and a pancake also sausage cut butterfly style. I got 2 eggs over easy whole wheat toast hash browns and a pancake. My bestie didn't really enjoy her eggs and I didn't either but I was really hungry so I finished mine but she didn't. She also thought the sausage had a weird taste. I brought my pancake home to eat it I couldn't finish. My eggs were also a little too runny for over easy they could have been cooked a little longer. The hash browns were salty and bland. So I would say it was just OK they really should get more options for other people who don't eat pork. I can't say for sure if I will try them again or not we'll see what the future has...

I went here today (never been in a donut diner before, I hope they're not all like this) and wanted a couple of donuts and a coffee.
It was around 3:30pm so obviously not that late to grab some fresh donuts. I was very wrong... as by then, there was a single basket of random, old looking donuts. I said "To hell with it" and grabbed two random donuts, since nothing was labelled anymore.
They honestly had a hint of cigarette smoke to them. Do the bakers smoke in the back room? Or maybe use their smoke covered hands to make them? Either way, super super nasty.
The coffee was... fine. Not sure why I would expect much else.
The inside of the place, especially near the counter, looked like it was under construction, except it wasn't. It was just decrepit and manky.
The women working the counter were friendly enough though, so nothing against them at all. It just looks like a place that was popular in the late 80's and never bothered renovating (or cleaning) since then. Definitely won't bother going here again. I'll try another donut diner though since now I'm curious if they're...
