HONEST REVIEW ON DOUGHBOX MANAGER AND STORE IN HAMILTON!!!! 10/05/23 If u walk in at 9 they’ll tell you it closes at 10 (on weekdays) but continue to serve you and take your money with complete disrespect. After waiting 10 mins to find out they had no Alfredo sauce (after already paying) My wife had asked for a refund and was told she’s only gonna do it this one time because she “felt bad for us”, and told my wife not to have attitude when she’s asked next time. That’s when I stepped in and asked her if this is how she treats the rest of her staff? She then started getting more of an attitude/aggressive and was trying to put her back to us and prolong this situation as I was just being straight up with her about her disrespect and she just kept saying to be quiet or she didn’t need to refund us at all! The second I walked into those doors I could hear her already complaining that people didn’t know the restaurant closes at 10 (but still continues to serve us like I previously said and made another comment about them closing at 10 after more customers were showing up) and it was only 9:13 when we walked in. Get a new job if u don’t enjoy it! Don’t make someone else’s day miserable including your own staff! We will no longer be supporting this company with that awful and disrespectful “manager” of theirs If that’s what she wants to considers herself as. Even HER OWN staff agreed with us and said “she’s just miserable” quote for quote. She proceeded to call somebody “above her” (after saying she’s the one and only person to own the restaurant) to ask how to handle the refund since she was useless when it came to the transaction and continued to talk smack over the phone while we waited for her to try and successfully do her job (what a “manager”) but wouldn’t even give us her name, let alone anyone’s names we can get in contact with. Than had the nerve to say she’ll call the cops because we were harassing her by asking for a refund? lmao when we fiNALLY got our cash refund after we paid with debit and after 20 mins of arguing for no reason, we were walking out and you could still hear her talking about my wife and not in a nice way over the phone (in front of their staff and customers which was honestly quite embarrassing on her end, made her look very childish!). We’ve been coming in for months now and have not ran into her yet or this amount of disrespect/problems. AGAIN WE WILL NOT BE DUMPING ANY MORE MONEY INTO THIS PLACE FOR THAT SERVICE AND YALL SHOULDNT EITHER!! 0/10. Get better management and new staff who don’t have attitude or issues when customers are asking for a refund (even it’s respectfully, my wife said “excuse me” and that immature girl still had a problem) check and see if you have what’s in stock before taking peoples money if refunding is...

My wife and I decided to try DoughBox after the gym on a Saturday. We were hungry and excited about the options we saw on the menu.

There were very few customers and the staff was quick to get to our pizza order. I watched my dough arrive, the tomato sauce ladled out, and cheese shreds spread across the surface of the pizza. Wait a minute. I ordered vegan cheese. I told him. He apologized and then dropped a handful of vegan cheese on the existing cheese. I told him to start fresh, explaining that when someone orders vegan cheese, that's because they don't want to eat the regular cheese. He seemed confused but started a new pie for me.

The vegan cheese appears to be separated into individual servings and stored in small plastic bags in the cooler. They have likely been moved to the cooler from the freezer to thaw. I'm guessing this based on the fact that the bag was filled with cheese AND water from such a thaw. The staff member dumped the bag of vegan cheese onto freshly pressed and sauced dough, making a watery mess. I told him to start fresh again and drain the water before adding the cheese.

A female staff member who looked like she was trying to wrap up her shift decided to take over. There were no more careless issues with the making of my pizza.

As for the finished pizzas, my wife and I found the crust too thin and it made the slices hard to pick up to eat. The bottom of the pizza was soft, pliable and colourless, lacking the crispness of a properly cooked crust.

The staff fogot to cook our doughbites and we had to head back to the counter to ask for them. They rushed the process and most of our pieces were undercooked. We complained but didn't have time to wait for them to cook another order. A reimbursement wasn't offered and we didn't have time to fight with them about it.

We won't...

Elderly employee treats delivery couriers like they're his personal verbal punching bags. After following the protocol and ringing the bell to announce my arrival I waited 5 minutes. When no one acknowledged that they had heard the bell and knew that I was there, I rang it again. At that point a different employee peeked around the corner indicated that he had heard the bell and asked me to be patient. So I waited. They kept me waiting over 20 minutes and then when the older employee came around the corner and saw me there he yelled at me for being patient and continuing to wait. I asked him not to speak to me so rudely and he told me I should be quiet and just be grateful for the work. I apologized to my customer, cancelled the delivery and contacted UberEats to let them know about the abusive behaviour from the staff.

As far as the restaurant itself, I have ordered twice, even though the menu is limited and the pizzas are pretty expensive for what you get. BOTH times they got the orders wrong, apologized without taking any further steps to rectify the mistakes, and I ended up eating cold, sub par food that wasn't what I ordered. I much prefer ordering from Pi-Co. Where I can get exactly what I want, no limit on toppings, and the food is always incredible. Obviously I won't order from dough box as a customer again, but after the way I was treated today, I DEFINITELY will never deliver a pizza from Dough Box ever again either and I suggest others steer clear as well, unless you enjoy getting cold food you didn't order or being spoken to abusively by an older man who thinks it's okay to treat people...

I was just driving along the streets of Hamilton when I saw this establishment and it got my attention right away. Without looking up any reviews or asking Google, I decided to dine in without really knowing what awaits me. The moment I stepped in the delicious smell of fresh pizza wafted out through the door. It was Saturday and the place was packed. There was a long line-up that went around the restaurant. I don't like waiting in line but the smell of pizza must have done something to me cause I patiently waited and boy IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT. :) Food was amazing. Ambiance was great too. It knows it's going to attract a lot of customers so the setup is big and spacious that it can fit an entire team of baseball. The only reason I was giving this a 4 is because I ordered 2 different types of pasta. I was waiting for my food by the counter for about 30 minutes. It turns out that another customer, who came after me, got my food, so they have to make another one. They should be able to improve the process in terms of serving out food. I think there's a huge problem there as most of the customers were looking at each other asking if that's someone else's order or not. Or maybe, they were pretty busy that day hence the confusion. Otherwise, the food was magnificent! I'm glad my spontaneous self decided to walk in there. I would drive all the way to Hamilton from Toronto just to get a bite of their pizza! :)

not even worth 1 star. we ordered the russian vege pizza last minute before they closed. they just too rush that the pizza havent cooked properly, then they gave it to us. especially the server name Lura, she made the previous order wrong and fixing it.....for other customer. and to our turn, we told her the pizza is not done properly but she insisted that is the way the pizza is. ok, that's fine since they are the cook there so they know what they are doing. we don't judge but accept and paid $20 for it. when we start to eat it, the pizza dough is still raw and not done yet and it is cold pizza and still watery inside. i think they just want to rush home and doesnt matter if the pizza cooked or not, not evern care if it will affect customer's health or life, not even care their reupatioin. so, we went back to the store and showed them the pizza, and tell them the pizza is not done. they just said oh, we are closed. not even a "SORRY". this is the attitude from employees or owner's of the restaurant to their customers.maybe to them, we are just a random customer who they don't really care. if the restaurant really care and value their customer, i think we should get an apology from the restaurant and the server Laura and get a fully refund. i dont want them to fire her but at least hope she can pay attention to her attitude. to their customer and use her heart to make the food. thank you.
