Drive through anchor staff members are able to think on their feet and adapt to different situations that arise . The wait time suggests that food is fresh.
However, the result of the mysterious 1o+ minute wait for the meal was a cold product.
Well, lukewarm.
The bags at the drive through are not properly rolled and shut in the trusted heat preserving technique that most adolescents as well as adults are aware of. Anyone who's ever attempted to keep food warm knows to roll the bag and compress it reasonably to create a semi airtight, handle sac with east to carry handle
Food has been cold in about half of the occasions I have used the drive through. This is not the phenomena when I use the Upper James Street location.
**Food has been very enjoyable other than this glaring tendency. In fact, Harvey's is the industry choice for the healthiest,most easily tolerated "fast food Burger centric restaurants.
On a whole, Harvey's is a better performer than most other places in its class.
This Harvey's is among top of the Harvey's franchises I have visited making for an overall well rounded and higher than average rating in just about anything you want to compare . Food, staff, prices, locations.
Harvey's competes and head to head , I say comes out as the clear choice for a respectable departure from the monotony of the everyday self made lunch & dinner.
If you are going to treat yourself, do it in a smart, satisfying way.

Read moreFirst off it seems every time we use the DRIVE THROUGH, we are told to park off to the side and someone will come out. I get this if you order a ingredient that takes a while, like maybe chicken, but for a regular order of burgers and fries, every time, and even the poeple in front of me get told the same… doesn’t make sense. Especially since they come out with the order very shortly after. That’s not drive through, that’s drive in dining…There is a different reason they are doing that. Secondly we ordered two poutines two burgers and drinks. Makes sense… 2 combos. The girl ones out with the orders literally tells us she didn’t have the receipt for us, asks us what was ordered, and gives us the bag. Sure enough it’s missing the chicken bacon ranch poutine, and upgraded item even at extra cost. So I go in, thinking it’s not going to be an issue and the person at the counter ask ‘do you have a receipt’? Well no you literally just said you didn’t have one when the order came out. After they talk to the ‘manager’ they say we didn’t charge you for it, when you can dam well tell by the price of the order they did, not to mention it is literally two combos. At the least that would have fries. So they say ‘it’s ok we’re not charging you for it’ lol well you bet you’re not. Get the poutine home , and sure enough it’s still the wrong poutine. It is a poutine with s little bacon crumble on top rather the chicken ranch. You can’t make up this sort of incompetence. Read moreFelt really bad the way the restaurant people treated the two guys that ordered their lunch, and asked about the wait after people behind them where being served first. When they asked about the wait, the front end put on a show.. Not a pleasant lunch having to watch this spectacle. Wasn’t fair to us in the dining room or the two customers you were punishing.
Whatever they did, I don’t think the staff at the counter handled the situation very professionally at all. Was really uncomfortable to watch, and one of two guys asked kindly what was happening?? The counter person really needs to work on the customer service handling, and there must be training in place so this crazy behaviour isn’t the face of the company brand. You challenged them and even yelled out at them as they left for not taking their food.. The way you were treating them was uncomfortable and I wouldn’t take the food either. I didn’t finish my lunch wondering about the sanitary practice held in the kitchen at this point. Terrible behaviour from restaurant staff. You gave them their money back and the guy even told you to still keep the tip. So unprofessional that the situation shouldn’t have been allowed this vigilante justice for what ever they did. It was you at the counter who could be heard, not them. Harvey’s?? You need to get your act together. That was not nice...
