Mary Brown's Chicken — Restaurant in Hamilton

June 5 called and asked if they were doing delivery. Had to call 3 times before someone picked up at like 6:15 pm. Granted its a Friday and certainly busy so I can tolerate that. Finally an answer and was told they only provide delivery via skip the dishes. Fair enough so I order via skip the dishes at 6:25 and it says that this location is closed for deliveries and was unable to complete my order. They close at 730 so I decide ok no worries skip the dishes must be in too tight of a time frame to complete the order so I will call the location back for a pick up seeing im not too far away. So I call back to order for pick up and this is like 640pm so ok almost an hour to complete a pick up order worth 70 bucks not an unmanageable task. Had to call about 12 times and let the phone ring off the hook and still no answer. I am a Chef in this city for over 20 years at numerous restaurants and hotels and understand they dont want to cook product late and risk loss but was more than enough time and had they answered and given an explanation and couldnt complete the order I would have been ok but now im really ticked off because it was just their total disregard for the customer and thats unacceptable practice for a growing chain in Ontario. I will be sure to make this public knowledge via social media that if Mary Browns closes 730 be sure to order a pick up at 6 if you want to feed your family. Dont post 730 close time if you arent willing to atleast take orders until 7. Restaurant unwritten rules. Wont be going back and quite dissapointed to...

This has hands down the best fried chicken of any fast food restaurant. The only complaint would be that they do cut up the pieces in an odd way, however the flavour makes up for anything like that. The taters that they sell are wonderfully seasoned, but are not at all spicy. I don't care for their fries, but they are still good. The taters however are just so amazing that I never even consider getting the fries. The Big Mary sandwich is their signature item and it is tender, flavourful, and absolutely one of the best, if not the best chicken sandwich that you can buy. It is a freshly breaded chicken breast topped with spicy or regular mayo, lettuce and a pickle placed on the top. The Big Mary is on sale every Monday for around $4 and I always buy several. All of their food is freshly prepared, so be prepared to wait for a few minutes. It is however totally worth it. My other favorite items on the menu are chicken fingers, popcorn chicken, honey garlic chicken wings, macaroni salad and coleslaw. I can actually say that I have never had anything on their menu that I didn't like, so you are safe ordering anything that takes your fancy. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED AND SHOCKED BY MY EXPERIENCE TODAY! We bought an apple juice with our combo and the seal was broken. Without thinking much of it, my wife gave my daughter a sip and took a sip herself. THE BOTTLE HAD ALOCHOL IN IT- smelt and tasted like beer. We called the store location and the lady said she was the manager but when asking for the head office number she said she had to ask for the manager (so she lied) then no answer came out of it. I drove to the restaurant myself and the manager started yelling at me -quote "I'll take you to the police, I have your face on camera and you're not getting anything out of me!" I was shocked that this manager would not care to listen or understand the situation. As a parent I wouldn't wish this on anyone! If I could give them zero stars I would. I have contacted corporate to escalate this situation but I want to warn everyone that goes or is thinking of going to this location for product that shouldn't be sold and for the terrible service the management...
