Well after a long day at a track and field competition, we unanimously decided to hit Montana's for the All You Can Eat Ribs. We were greeted immediately by the friendly hostess that accommodated our window request and cleaned the table for us. Our Server Jessica was beyond amazing! She was friendly, attentive and so personable with taking our order. Drinks took a little bit to come but we can see Jessica constantly in motion from each table greeting everyone with such a family touch. Once she made it to the bar room make drinks, she brought them immediately. We placed our order for ribs and then came in 10mins. 3 of the 4 people at our table received our meal except me. Jessica came out to apologize that they were out of ribs. I was disappointed as I was looking forward to the ribs. She offered compensation and I ordered an alternative meal that took more time to come. At the end of the day, my meal was not what I had hoped for with the rib shortage but in all of this, I witnessed the best customer service by Jessica not only for my table by half of the restaurant plus the patio. I overheard patrons, not as understanding as our table, complaining about the rib shortage during an all you can eat promotion. It is clearly not her fault but the responsibility to deliver this update table after table was tough to watch. While acknowledging EVERYONE'S disappointment, she did not skip a beat with her level of customer service and did not show a moment of frustration. She continued to change every diner's experience to meet what they came in for. I am not sure if there was a staffing shortage tonight but Jessica was above and beyond especially dealing with half the tables in the restaurant plus patio. I hope this is not a standard night for her as the other side of the restaurant had multiple servers. Employees like Jessica should be recognized for her excellence and supported by other servers as this may eventually burn her out. Kudos again to Jessica!! We are from 2hrs out if town but would definitely come back for the service by Jessica. The manager also came out to express her apologies and ensured our dining experience was good....
Read moreI was extremely disappointed with my last experience at this location. We called on Saturday to make a reservation for 7pm that evening. My husband and I arrived at 6:55pm and went to check in. There were quite a few people waiting for tables (which we expected on the weekend, that’s why we made a reservation), we were told that it would be a 15-20 minute wait as there were people just finishing up at the table. They had just seated three people when we arrived. We had arrived by bus, so we didn’t have the option to go back out to a car. Thank goodness a store nearby was open for us to kill the time. We went back at 7:25pm and when we went to check in we were once again told it would be about 15-20 minutes wait. I asked the hostess what the purpose of a reservation was is we weren’t going to have a table ready. We were waiting just the same as those patrons who just walked in. We made the reservation to avoid that wait. The excuse I received was that we make reservations for a table not a time spot. That made absolutely no sense to me, of course I was making a reservation for a table and it was for a specific time… EITHER WAY IT WAS NOT READY FOR ME!! It being our date night, we had reservations at another function for 9pm - we are now cutting into that time. I let the hostess know I would like to speak with a manager after my meal. We were finally seated at 7:49pm. We cancelled our other reservation because we would not have made it in time. It was all down hill from there. The food was OK, and the service mediocre. Our server forgot about us several times, I went my whole meal without the water I asked for twice. I understand the nature of the job, I used to work in the food industry, I know how busy and stressful it can be, however this was just completely unprofessional. I was exhausted by this experience by the time we paid our bill. We finally left there - and trust me we didn’t spend any “extra” time - at 9:45pm. I will not be going back to...
Read moreLast time we went, we got the best service ever, they kept making sure we were okay and the food was okay, that was a 5/5 star... But we then found out it was because the waiter with the best review would win a price, its was a one time thing. Normaly we absolutly love Montana, we go there once a month for the past 3 years, but its getting to a point where we dont feel like going back.
My fiancee and I went out to dinner yesterday around 3om at Montana's where it were less busy. We got seated right away, but then was forgotten.. We waited 20 minuts before we even saw a waiter, it was only when we desided to leave, that someone jumped us and asked if we been served. They took our order, and 20 minuts later we got our food, half of it was wrong and had to wait for the correction. Didnt get any knife or fork, had to go around to find someone who could supply us with it. Ny Fiancee got the 7oz steak, I got the regular ribs. Her steak was 1/3 grizzle, my ribs were very dry, almost felt like it was yesterdays ribs that got reheated. Fries were half raw and cold, I counted them.. 14 fries total..
When we left, we did a 5$ tip and the waiter instantly gave us an attitude.. They were lucky just to get anything for that service..
So im pritty sure we wont be going back to that location again.
They used to be amazing, one of the best places to get steak and the best ribs ever, but it feels like they dont care any more, which is really sad..
Just an update I forgot to mention. We always order pull apart garlic bread for entré, but the last, maybe 7 visits, we had to ask about the entré after our food comes out, then maybe 10-15m later it comes to the table, all cold and they still expect us paying for it.. A few times it never arrived and they expected us to pay for it anyway.. Thats...
