Reading all the other reviews I was really optimistic about trying a new KBBQ place. However, I am pretty disappointed with my Friday night dinner. The food, especially the meat is really not up to par with other AYCE KBBQ places at all. The beef had zero seasoning and there was no marbling at all and covered by blood/sauce? Either way, this is a sign the restaurant is either covering up older meats, or the cut of meat is very cheap. The short rib was a lot better but still underwhelming. The salmon tasted like water from being frozen for a long period of time probably. The sausage was good but usually the restaurant buys it elsewhere so you can’t really go wrong there. The mussels…… one came out pale white and the other one bright orange. Scared to eat either of them especially because it’s seafood so I didn’t take a picture. The fried foods we ordered - half came out hot the other half was cold. So I’m not sure about kitchens expediting QC. However some better dishes were the side dishes like the kimchi and picked radish. They were super tasty. The dim sum pork bao and shumai was really good but the other ones were mediocre at best. The tiny donuts were really good though! The service was really face and the bus boys were really efficient. However, our waitress came by probably every 5 mins but not in a helpful way, it felt like we were being rushed out of the restaurant. She said last call was at 10 (actually 3 people told us this - ok we get it) and she said can I bring out your ice cream now? We were in the middle of eating lol. So we said sure I guess and it proceeded to melt as we tried to scarf down our main as quick as possible. I’m not sure if our waitress was trying to get out that day as quick as possible but there was really low table etiquette and literally just didn’t use her eyes to see where her guests were at with their meal. This really killed...
Read moreSo we visited the Spring Grill House on a Sunday evening my family fortwo children and two adults. The food brought out was decent of good quality the beef we had brought out was pretty fatty hard to cook on the grill but we just ordered another one and it wasn’t too bad. I can’t say anything bad about the service the young man serving us was very polite very kind he came over maybe twice throughout the dinner time and asked us if we needed our drinks refilled. Only few issues we had was the smell down in the bathrooms was terrible. The noise and the place it’s so loud you can barely hear yourself talk to the people across the table from you. And the only other complaint I had was how much you pay. $40.99 per person and I know it was a nice night out with my family and that made it worth it but I could’ve gone around the corner to really nice Chinese restaurant and ordered the same food or very similar food and would’ve cost me maybe $50. My bill with no drinks just the food and the tip was about $210 total that’s no alcohol. For $210 at a Chinese restaurant very close by we could’ve fed a party of 10. Anyway it was a good restaurant good service good food and our family enjoyed it. It’s not somewhere I will return to anytime soon. The price we pay as a middle income family for groceries and everything else today makes it’s difficult to take our family out for a nice dinner if have to pay that...
Read moreWorst Experience I have ever had at any restaurant:
On July 14 I and my friend we have decided to go to Spring Grill as the final goodbye dinner as my friend was leaving Canada for good to pursue another career, the flight was the next day. After we have seated, We asked our waiter to pass some chopsticks to us, as chopsticks are used in Asian BBQ to handle meat and vegetables. The server initially appeared shocked, and he left with a smirk on his face. I saw him giggled to his colleagues, and inquired the whereabouts of the chopsticks. He returned with two sets of chopsticks, placed on the table, and left. I quietly observed him, after he took a couple of steps, he had the guts to turn his head towards our table with mockery on his face, I believe he wanted to see us using the chopsticks in action. He thought it was funny, of course, he can't even hide it. So unprofessional, so much insult coming from another human being. We tipped 15% as we had other servers delivering food. It was the most humiliating experience I have ever had at any service setting. It still leaves a sour taste in my mouth even after a week.
Both sets of chopsticks left on the table, untouched, still in its packaging after we have paid our bills. As shown...
