Original Pizza — Restaurant in Hamilton

We are a local business and like to support local businesses. We order from here 2 to 3 times a week on average. Food is okay with mixed feelings about service. The older male with an accent always seems agitated and has a very poor attitude. We called to order a Large 3 topping pizza with 10 wings for $16.99. We asked if we could swap the 3 topping pizza with a Shawarma Pizza for the Special. Very similar in price $10.99 and we would be willing to pay the difference if he wanted. He told us to call back in 5 minutes because he had a customer that just walked in. We called back and asked the male the same question. He seemed agitated again and asked us to come in to place the order. We are very hungry at this point and it defeats the purpose of calling in a order to save a trip and time. We want to support small local business so my coworker went. He inquired about the swap with paying extra and the male said no. The price would be $23.99. My coworker did not argue, made the order and returned back to the store. We respect the business's right to pricing. When we looked up wings, they prices are 12.99 for 14 wings. So he was charging us Full price which we respect his right to do so. My coworker went back to pick up the Pizza. He wanted to make sure that we got the 14 wings and not the 10 wings in the special. He asked if we got the 14 wings and the male took the food to the back walked away and didn't say a word. So not only did they not want to give a break to local regular customer but they were trying to Charge more then what we had asked for. Absolutely ridiculous and we will definitely not be back. Their shawarma pizza is the best! My favorite treat!! So delicious. Make sure you get the white sauce!!! I make the hour-long round trip from Oakville to get this pizza because it's so good.

Editing one year later to state once more how absolutely amazing this place is, I don't know how it doesn't have 5 stars. Just grabbed a slab of shawarma pizza for my fam today for supper. I moved to northern ontario during the pandemic and much of the reason I make the 5 hour drive down south every so often is to grab some shawarma pizza, it is that good. I really hope this place doesn't fall to the misfortunes of covid because I would legit never be happy again. I've traveled to multiple countries and continents and am a huge foodie, and the shawarma pizza here has to be one of the best things I have ever eaten. When I get married we are definitely ordering a bunch at midnight. I came back to town for my birthday in October for a small home gathering with a few friends and they loved it so much themselves they went out to get some on new years. I’ve been coming to OG Pizza off and on for 25 years they are pretty good and always had potential to be better. I saw it pick up especially with the instagram promos getting famous for their giant slices and good prices. They moved locations which was sad but also had the potential to become better at the new location I did not know you guys were open this whole time because there are no light up signs. If you put some nice light up signs up (Original Pizza / with maybe a cool logo or giant slice with “O.G or something cool) and do more promo your shop will explode with succes people will notice it more , right now it’s blended in an kind of hidden. A lot of people don’t know your store exists. I really respect the family and the shop I wanna see them be successful but if you want to do well in that area, also having Power Pizza up the street you guys need lit signs and promote you’re specialties and good prices, promote your giant slices! You guys deserve it, maybe it’s already in the works and we will see your shop signs all lit up!
