I don't know where to start. This is one of our favourite spots to go out to dine at. I kid you not, they have the best burgers I've ever had in my life-and I love my burgers ;).
We've been coming here since it opened up. We used to go to their King St location too but are SO grateful this one opened up. It's a lot closer to home.
While King St was great, in comparison this blows them out of the water. Still the same great food but the Ottawa location is MUCH bigger and you dont share tables (which was never a problem!).
Every single one of the staff members are a dream, adding to the most perfect dining experience. Even the ones who dont know we exist. Lol. They're all so genuine, down to earth and hardworking- I love them all. Even the bartender who I see making my drink...that probably doesnt even know me but makes them with such passion and sincerity. I dont even drink but boy the way they prepare some of those cocktails sure makes me want to! We love you guys!! Thank you!!!
They've got it all...a patio, bar, ARCADE GAMES!!! ...that's right. They have 2 retro arcade games where you can play any namco game you like...and it's free!!! Mind. Blown. These guys are the best.
Creative an innovative ideas. The menu is as mindblowing as everything else. The coolest combinations made with the highest quality of ingredients. I've never been to a hamburger place where they ask you how well done you like your patty. #legit.
They have the most interesting ideas for the hamburgers on menu and even offer the chef's smash which is usually an insane and genius idea of burger created by the brilliant chefs in the back. You can taste and see their passion before you. Every single appetizer is out of this world. EVERYTHING on the menu is-im not kidding...we're obsessed. If you're to try only one appetizer though, take my word and go for the buffalo cauliflower. I'm yet to visit another restaurant to top theirs. Omg and their shakes? Take my word a just do it....this place is the BEST.
I love the music they play too. Old school from the 80s and 90s. Theres nothing like that era.
They extremely clean as well. I remember one of the first times I visited I saw one of the employees cleaning the CEILING!!!!! Amazing.
You can really tell they take care and genuinely do care. I cant thank these guys enough for everything they've done for us.
A perfect dining experience. Nearly every time. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you so much. Keep up the great work. You're valued and appreciated.
Oh and p.s to the server in the photo... I told you I'd take you out before posting online but I kept you bc I thought you look nice and deserve some credit. If you like though I can still put a sticker over, just lmk :)
If theres one thing that I might be able to request though.... PLEASE bring back the pepperoni topping!! I beg of you. It's mine an my bfs favorite topping to create our burger :( he asks every time in hopes its come back lol.
Oh and the 3 app ceasar!! You guys have the best ceasar (virgin) I've had but can do more with the options. That 3 app ceasar was brilliant. If you're going to take it away at least incorporate one of those pickled beans in your Caesars...or offer the candied bacon with the deep fried pickle instead of adding another regular pickle to it. Just a...
Read moreThis pains me, as I really wanted to like this place, but screwing up our order 4 tines out of the 4 visits we have made. I just cant...
First time we were there my girlfriend's burger was made wrong due to trainees in the kitchen, which is completely understandable, and they even comped us the burger so we gave that one a pass, and still tipped our server well because she was extremely sweet and apologetic about it...
The second time we were there my girlfriend specifically asked for no cheese on her salad, as she has issues with certain dairy, and low and behind her salad comes out with cheese all over it, the waitress caught it though as soon as she set it down she said "Wait, you wanted no cheese, I'll get that fixed for you" took it back and 40 minutes later returned with a salad that had no cheese on it. 40 minutes....for a salad...and there were only 2 other tables of people there.
The third time we were there, there was 4 tables occupied, we gave our order and an hour and a half later, both the appetizers we ordered to start and our main courses come out at the same time with our yam fries cold, and after asking for no onions on my burger it was slathered in onion, After seeing how long it took last time to get something fixed , I picked everything off losing a large amount of the sauce and other toppings.
Usually after 3 times I'll not return but I really wanted to give them another chance, so tonight we went in, had no problems getting seated and our appetizers were out almost instantly, but again not having the first 2 choices my girlfriend wanted in stock at the store she went for Cauliflower bites, and I got the normal burger I usually get and ordered with NO Onions. An hour and 15 minutes later the cauliflower bites came out soggy, half warm, and over slathered in Franks sauce. Mine on the other hand again came out packed to the hilt with onions, which I again had to maul my way through, picking them all off. Though, I will say the Jalapeño Popper Dumplings were beyond delicious, and the Yam Feies were on point, I will give credit where it's due, but 4 for 4 with issues getting us what we ordered in a timely manner and the way we ordered it, I just can't support that.
Also given the fact that in this day and age we are forced to tip even when our experience is below par, and given our server tonight was definitely in a mood to begin with, really didn't appreciate it, but we don't generally like making a scene. So we just pay and go, but $116 for tonight's run was the breaking point for me. Eating out these days is fairly expensive, so for us, it's saved for special occasions, and it's sucks when our experience is sub par and the meal is up to three digits of a bill. The manager or whomever is responsible for the staff should be looking into how orders are either taken or how the kitchen staff recieve and make the orders as there should be no reason for all four of our visits to not have gotten the order...
Read moreFast food meets fine dining. It's good if big, messy burgers and chicken sandwiches are your thing/what you are craving when you go. I've been here a couple times. The first time I had a chicken sandwich that was very tasty but a little too big and messy. This last time I came with some friends (we were planning on going out and I was under the impression that we were going to a different restaurant, so I had goulash, cabbage rolls, sausage, and sauerkraut on my mind, but I guess the plans changed) and I couldn't find anything on the menu that I really felt like eating (I like small burgers; as far as fast food burgers go, the McDouble is perfect in my eyes) so I just ordered fries and a classic strawberry milkshake. The milkshake was good (it tasted homemade and the portion was nice for $7 - they give you a full sundae glass as well as half a metal shaker cup to top up with), but it took over an hour for the food to come out. The staff was friendly and apologized for the delay, explaining that they were short staffed and that the AGCO made an unexpected visit. This wasn't too big of a deal, but by the time my fries came I kind of just wanted to go home and have something from the fridge or freezer. For some reason I had thick-cut, crispy-on-the-outside and fluffy-on-the-inside fries on my mind, but the fries here are more of a regular cut and cooked crispy. They're not bad fries at all, but I wasn't feeling it when they came out and the portion felt a little small for $8. All-in-all a pretty good place. They are passionate about their burgers and whatnot. Don't let my score dissuade you if you're looking for a big fancy burger; I think my point here is that this place isn't...
