I’ll preface this by saying this review isn’t about the food(which is mediocre anyhow), it’s about being blatantly ripped off...which is worse. My boyfriend was there just minutes ago ordering for me. I simply wanted a large fattoush salad with chicken added to it. The large fattoush salad on its own is priced at $9.99 but they apparently can’t simply add the price of chicken to that. No, they said they needed to charge for a chicken salad on their menu which, for a large, is $13.79 and to make it fattoush they need to add an extra dollar. Therefore, the salad comes to $14.79 before taxes. This is at least a few dollars more than I would have paid if they charged for a large fattoush salad on their menu at $9.99 and added chicken. I didn’t want the chicken salad, I wanted the Fattoush salad with chicken added... simple! Ridiculous. It isn’t the money, it’s the principle behind it; they’re ripping their customers off which is an extremely poor way to do business, obviously. My boyfriend went back and questioned them but they stated that they simply can’t charge for chicken added to a Fattoush salad. This makes absolutely no sense at all other than trying to make a few extra dollars at the customer’s expense. They must really underestimate their customer’s ability to tell when they’re being ripped off. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out!
Gain a few dollars at my expense now, Osmow’s, but you’ll lose many customers and dollars later! Safe to say, I’ll never...
Read moreSeeing as I have been cooped up in my house for what seems like forever, I decided to go get some Shawarma to treat myself. I normally go to a Sana grill however decided to try Osmow's in Stoney Creek since it was closer and just opened. I also saw a bunch of commercials and figured Freddy V and Powell would never endorse anything less than perfect. :)
I was so disappointed with my meal. the chicken was kept in a container, not heated up before being put on the rice, and was not cooked with onions and hot sauce as I am used to seeing it being prepared. It came with a salad that was also prepared incorrectly and had way too many onions that the salad tasted terrible. When the server went to give me the meal, I had to ask for a pita to go with it which I thought was just a part of each dinner plate seeing as it was so expensive but it turns out you have to pay extra for anything there. I paid 75 cents for extra white sauce and an extra 50 cents for one pita. When he was packing up the pita I was asked if I wanted it heated up which again should just be general knowledge that it should be a warm meal you are serving and not random leftovers pulled out of a fridge and slapped together.
I cannot believe a place with such curb appeal would serve such a terrible meal. Unless things change, I would be surprised if this...
Read morePLZ DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! I always order a large chicken. Shawarma poutine a year ago it tasted fine but lately The cheese curds are never melted they're the size of a golf ball cold and taste like rubber. You can barely chew them I always select extra gravy and each time i do they put even less sauce than usual. My fries are completely dry. Not to mention the fries taste like cardboard and they don't give you proper portions of the chicken. Just little slabs of it and sometimes it's still pink and it tastes disgusting I've been going here for a year now and I've never been greeted by the staff the workers just stare at me and then keep working, not even a nod. It's a very unpleasant place to dine In. The atmosphere is fine, but the workers make it uncomfortable to eat inside and one time I went one evening and these two Indian girls ran to the back and hid as they seen me walk in some dude came out to help me instead because they didn't want to. I'm Never ordering from here again I've Moved my interests to Mr chicken shawarma much better option and the poutine tastes great and not like cardboard.
try it yourself and see what I mean I've even asked some of my friends and family if they thought the food tasted worse than usual and they all agreed so it...
