Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen — Restaurant in Hamilton

Overall: 4.5 / 10 The worst Popeyes location I've been to for both food quality and service. The pictures posted by their own account to Google maps are not the actual location, as they show a standalone with a drive-thru and this is in a strip mall between a drug store and dentist.

Chicken: 6.5 / 10 Generally Popeyes fried chicken, especially the spicy coating and seasoning, are 9 / 10 excellent. It stays crisp and juicy unlike soggy KFC. However, this location is greasier and soggier than others because of the poor oil temperature and rushed frying jobs.

Onion rings: 5.5 / 10 These would be way better but they were cooked poorly. The oil wasn't hot enough, making then absorb oil and the coating fall off. Clearly they were rushed.

Strange interaction with the cashier. I ordered the Tuesday special, with two spicy pieces and a regular onion rings. She cautioned me that the spicy chicken would be a wait, which I said was fine. She then asked me if I was ok with half spicy and half regular. This suggests that it wasn't an issue about wait time, rather them not wanting to cook more spicy chicken. My boyfriend & I were just there. We arrived at 9:45 and they close at 11pm. Very little chicken was prepared, and when asked if more was coming out, the lady behind the counter preparing orders was very rude & said it would take 20 mins. My bf & I were fine with whatever chicken they had. He got the Tuesday 2PC deal, however they did not have chicken made, but kindly compromised to give him something else for the same price. They asked spicy or mild, he requested spicy, they said they only had mild, so okay, he took mild (only to bring it home and it was spicy). I got 3pc Tenders, same thing - I asked for spicy, they only had mild, but yet received spicy. The cashier was very kind, however the lady behind her was not - kept making comments to other customers that were coming in complaining about the 20 min wait (rolling her eyes, saying that they were closing soon (mind you, it was still a quarter to 10, and they close at 11) ) I will no longer be returning to this location, as every time that we have ordered, there has been some sort of confusion, and unprofessional behaviour. I called the place as I couldn’t see the option to send notes to the restaurant

I specifically told them to make sure the chicken isn’t burnt as it was burnt last time. I also requested for extra hot sauce sachets and no ketchup.

The guy staff that I spoke with assured that the order will have extra hot sauce.

Despite making an effort I see them sending me ketchup which I told them to remove and 3 hot sauce sachet for me to have with 8pieces of chicken and a sandwich.

Also, the chicken pieces smell and they are all uncooked! Rubbery chicken.

Not only the thigh pieces have shrunken but it feels cheating

When called back the lady staff has teh audacity to blame it on me and make an excuse and telling me to add the sauce from the buy sauce section to which I said, I don’t like them and I requested specifically for the sachet ones. If it is such a problem for you guys start charging it and don’t act stingy!

If you are unable to follow a direction and customer order don’t run a business!
