For some reason, my mother has been fascinated with this place since it opened. So even though it isn’t traditional, I took her out for an early Mother’s Day lunch there. I must say for a place on King Street. (meaning things on King Street really don’t last too long) everything was fantastic The customer service was phenomenal, the two gentlemen working were very attentive to us and so patient with us, considering I spilt my coffee and kind of made a mess. Plus, we didn’t know exactly what we wanted to order, but they were patient enough to guide us through the menu. I enjoy the small casual storefront, not to mention the beautiful exposed brick archway in the back. They make the most of the small space they have making it feel larger than it is. We both had two orders of spicy buffalo wings. That chicken was very moist and tender yet there was a subtle crunch. They were cooked to perfection. The only gripe I might have is that the hot sauce that they use as a base sauce is just Frank’s red hot sauce, which is OK, every restaurant from casual to even the more expensive restaurants use Frank’s red hot sauce as a base, I would’ve liked to have seen more creativity on their part. But that’s just me. I’m a snob when it comes to hot sauces I do really appreciate that the entrance is wheelchair and walker accessible. Recent places I have been have not been accessible for some reason. Also, the prices are pretty inexpensive especially these days where you have to take out a second mortgage to have a decent steak dinner All in all, I would highly recommend and I truly hope they stay open for years to come. We have unfortunately lost superb establishments on King Street, so I hope this won’t be another casualty of the King Street curse.
Oh, if you’re looking for milk or creamer for your coffee it’s on the top shelf where they have the pop, i’ll post a picture below...
Read moreOk. Here me out. I ordered two large poutines last night ( i absolutely REFUSE) to order poutines from any place but here. I hosted my family and we ordered a bunch of burgers from another restaurant, mind you that restaurant serves poutine as well but I was like NOPE we need to order poutine separately from here no questions asked. My family thought I was just being extra. When I tell you, my family INHALED this poutine & requested me to bring the poutine everytime i go over to their place moving forward. These guys PACK it with gravy which is just chefs kiss. They made it FRESH which ok took a bit of time but you know what id rather have fresh food anyways. The gravy and cheese was packed on, it was like the perfect amount. The taste of the gravy itself is my favorite. I hope these guys stay open forever because i now have a poutine addiction thanks to them. The service is great too + pricing is great too! I dont review much but this one needed a review. Wish i took photos of the poutine but it was...
Read moreI had such a delicious falafel wrap today. Huge size for such a great price, very fresh ingredients, bursting with layers of flavour in the most balanced way. I tried a chicken shawarma from here before as well and I couldn't believe how amazing it was, honestly! Both the shawarma and falafel sandwich had juicy flavour in every bite and they are probably the best I have ever had from any place. I will always come here any time I feel like having a sandwich/ wrap because nowhere else makes it as good as these guys!
I also tried some of their dessert and it was so delicious! I can't wait to try all the other desserts that they have!
Another thing, the 2 gentlemen are so nice and friendly, I really enjoy chatting with them while my food is being...
